Most Of Our Projects Are Never Finished!

Friday, April 27th, 2007

At the February 15th - 17th, 2007 “Stompernet
Live” Seminar, Jeff Johnson, in his excellent
presentation, pointed out that 70+ % of all
projects started are never finished. He pointed
out that is not only true for Internet marketers,
but even true in many large companies.

The problem, as Jeff sees it, is actually project
management and accountability. Jeff explained that
he manages project managers. He outsources the work,
has people managing those the work is outsources to,
and has people managing those managers.

I like Jeff’s model, and think that he’s absolutely
brilliant. I managed to get about 20 minutes of
video when I’m interviewing Jeff and a number of
other marketers, although I’m not sure how we’ll
use that video. We originally shot it for the product
we’re launching from
http://TheInternetMarketingInnerCircle.com

I think that Jeff’s numbers are fairly accurate
based upon personal experience and that Of coaching
clients. I’ve started numerous projects that I
never finished… some fairly simple.

As an example, I had two sets of articles ghost written
several months ago. One set of articles was to be sold
as a private label rights packages. The other one was to
be used for traffic generation. After spending hundreds
on having these articles written, my team decided that
the articles needed to be improved. We never got around
to improving them… so they sit in a folder on my
harddrive and also the harddrives of 2 associates.

We just try to do too many things and get side-tracked
too easy. We volunteer for too many seemingly easy
projects and find ourselves overwhelmed.

I like Ron Legrand’s saying “The less I do, the more I
make.” He delegates, outsources and manages rather than
doing the work himself. That’s also what Jeff does.

By the way, StomperNet has it’s next member seminar in
early June (in Atlanta). I’ll probably be there.

StomperNet is also getting reopening memberships soon.
After the February StomperNet seminar, I’m convinced that
it’s one of the best values available anywhere!

Here’s an email about an incredible video just released
that I recently sent to my list:

This is an AWESOME video!

The subject’s name is Britt.

Early Thirties, married, 2 kids, works full time.

*And he’s getting ready to quit his day job.

*After starting his web site 4 months ago.

*And he only worked on his site 2 hours a day.

You’ve GOT to see this:

http://www.stompernet.net/jvp/aw.aspx?A=103

Why am I showing you this video?

Well, you probably remember all the hype that flooded your
in-box when StomperNet hit the scene 6 months ago.

“StomperNet THIS.” “StomperNet THAT.”

It was a feeding frenzy - email after email with claim after
claim.

I mean, EVERY “Product Launch” these days promises some sort of
Secret, or Competitive Edge, or Unfair Advantage. Those phrases
are getting pretty tired. Tired, old, ugly, and pretty annoying,
actually.

It got to be a little ridiculous.

That’s why it was interesting to see the StomperNet sales
letter. Instead of the (sadly) typical HEADLINE that said,
“Discover how to make TEN MILLION DOLLARS during your next hair
cut appointment”.

… or some non-sense like that, the StomperNet HEADLINE was:

— “This Space Intentionally Left Blank” —

LOL! That took some guts. I’ll give ‘em that.

But it doesn’t matter. Guts, Hype, Claims - none of it matters
if StomperNet didn’t work.

So, did it?

You could ask Andy Jenkins and Brad Fallon, and of course, they
are going to say “Yes”.

They’ll point out that StomperNet added 8 Faculty Members, has
held 2 of their planned 4 Live Conferences, they have 30 Paid
and Trained Moderators in their forum, and over 50,000
Discussions in the StomperNet members portal.

But so what?

Any Cake can have good ingredients - Chocolate, Sugar, Frosting,
More Sugar.

It’s how the Cake gets baked - that’s what counts.

What I mean is, the only thing that matters is the RESULTS that
people get from the information, not the information itself!

Look, the information provided through StomperNet has been
Excellent. I’ve been inside the portal, listened to some of
their Twice Weekly eCoaching Calls, watched the On-Going Video
Training, and have even seen some of the 40 (it might be more
than that) DVDs that they’ve sent to their members.

— BUT DID IT ALL OF THIS INFORMATION WORK??? —

Did people who subscribed to StomperNet actually make any more
money because of being there?

It’s been a whole “Semester” (As Andy likes to say) and by this
point, there SHOULD BE members that have gotten REAL RESULTS
from being in StomperNet.

— SHOULD BE —

One part of the StomperNet launch that I did like (I’m a sucker
for proof) was the case studies. There were literally dozens of
screen captures during the first StomperNet launch that showed
REAL web sites from REAL members.

That was cool. You could actually go to the Search Engines,
enter a Term or Phrase from the case study, and see the actual
site RANKING for that search.

That was impressive because most Snake-Oil Gurus wouldn’t even
DREAM of showing you their sites - and these were NOT Brad and
Andy’s sites (They showed theirs too, but they SHOULD be ranking
on the top, right?) - these were customers sites!

Again, that took some guts.

But that was six months ago.

And in six months –

Search Engines change their voodoo.

Markets get more competitive.

Consumers get more sophisticated.

So, I asked Brad and Andy the question again:

— DID STOMPERNET WORK? —

Andy wrote back with a link to a video and said,

“Watch this.”

I replied “Oh, so you happen to have a NEW Case Study lying
around to show me”.

He wrote back; “No Silly (Okay, he didn’t say “Silly”), we’re
re-opening StomperNet, and this is one example of the HUNDREDS
of people that have KILLED it with StomperNet’s training.”

Here’s the link to the video:

http://www.stompernet.net/jvp/aw.aspx?A=103

If you aren’t yet making as much money as you’d like to online
and you think you COULD earn more if you learned more, then
you’ve got to watch this.

I did, and here’s a guy who went from ZERO to $15,000 PER MONTH
and he is NOT afraid to share his success to you.

– And he did it working only 2 hours per day! –

Kudos to anyone with that kind of “Help others on your way up
the ladder” abundance-minded mentality.
It’s free to watch — you don’t even have to opt-in or anything
– click the link below to see it while it’s available:

http://www.stompernet.net/jvp/aw.aspx?A=103
So, 2 things here:

1. StomperNet is RE-Opening - after 6 long months of
Silence.

2. If this Case Study is any indication of how GOOD
StomperNet turned out to be then.

— StomperNet DID work - like a Champ! —

This is a NEW CASE STUDY from a real, current StomperNet member.
I have never seen a customer so NOT afraid to share his success.

http://www.stompernet.net/jvp/aw.aspx?A=103

In his video, he’s going to tell you how he increased his Opt-In
Rate by 400%!!! And how he gets 1 out of every 4 customers to
buy from him AGAIN!

Oh, and by the way, this is an eCommerce Store that’s just 4
months old.

Don’t miss it.

Thanks,

Willie Crawford

P.S. I just got another message from Andy. They’ve got a LOT
more Case Studies that they’re posting for review. And it looks
like there’s some sort of CRAZY offer they’re going to make to
NEW StomperNet customers.

Stay Tuned!

P.P.S. Make sure you watch that video - This StomperNet member
went from Zero Dollars (he started from Scratch) to $15,000 A
MONTH in sales.

How To Attract More Site Visitors Without Added Cost

Thursday, April 26th, 2007

A few days ago, I blogged about Markus Allen.
Here something for you to check out on his site…

How To Attract More Site Visitors Without Added Cost——————————————

A few days ago, I revealed
two huge problems for just about
every online marketer…

… The biggest problem is
getting qualified traffic to our websites.

I find most marketers are struggling
to find enough quality prospects
because there’s lots of competition out there.

And sure, you can buy more traffic
(if you can afford expensive advertising)…
But that doesn’t guarantee visits to your site.

Even worse, our prospects
are more skeptical than ever
because it’s easy to get scamed.

But imagine being able to get more traffic to your site
without spending extra money…

… Would you be interested?

The secret is simple…
just change your ad copy from
“features” to exciting “benefits.”

convert features into profitable benefits

Fast And Easy Free Long-term Website Traffic

Thursday, April 26th, 2007

I’ve decided to post some of the more than 700 articles
I’ve written to my blog… sort of an experiments. Here’s
the first of many:

Fast And Easy Free Long-term Website Traffic Generation
By Willie Crawford

It’s a fact of life that without traffic, your website
can’t make sales. That makes traffic generation the
top priority for many webmasters.

The sad thing is that we often make generating traffic
to our websites much more difficult than it has to be.
We also often make it more expensive in terms of time
and other resources than it has to be.

Let me share with you just one quick traffic generation
method that will generate an endless stream of traffic
to your website.

One very successful method that I use, and that many of
my mentors use, is to offer a free or low-cost service
from your site. An example is to have some script on
your site that generates code that other webmasters
need to make their sites work better. It doesn’t have
to be webmaster tools though, it just needs to be
something that brings visitors back to your site over
and over again.

You could host games on your site. These could even be
games where site visitors compete against each other.

You could host a recipe generator or recipe converter
on your site.

You could host quizzes or interactive courses on your
site. This would bring visitors back over and over again.

You could offer a file hosting and sharing service. Your
site visitors would come to your site, upload files, and
then access them from various places such as their Ebay
auctions, etc. They would have a convenient place to
point family and friends to for accessing their photos,
etc.

With the file sharing and file hosting service, you could
charge a nominal fee, and easily earn more than most people
do at their regular JOB. You could also offer the service
for free, and monetize your site by running your own ads,
or by running ads through a service like Google AdSense (TM).

I love the file hosting idea because it is so simple, and
it’s something you can set up for under $20. You can grab
the script needed to do this for $17, set it up, and have a
traffic magnet in about an hour… if you’re fast. You
can get that simple, easy to install script at:
http://NoHypeInternetMarketing.com/filehost/

Back to the idea of offering tools that webmasters need…
you can host “generators” on your site. Generators are
software tools that “generate” code or products that others
need. For example, you can host a press release generator,
or a cloaked links generator. The possibilities are really
endless, and most can be set up on your site fairly quickly.

For a ton of generators that can be set up on your site just
by copying and pasting a few lines of html code into your
webpage (where you want the generator to appear) check out
this site: http://NewbiesStartHere.com

When you really start thinking about it, generating free,
long-term traffic to your website is a snap. For some reason,
we just over-complicate it. We also often look at simple ideas
like the ones I just shared with you and don’t use them. They
work, they’re easy to implement, they’re inexpensive, and you
should be using them! Instead most people who read this will
just keep foolishly looking for a bigger, more complicated,
harder to implement, secret method :-)
Take advantage of this idea today, and I’ll offer you a few more
that are just as simple, fast, and easy in future articles.

Email Destroys More Brain Cells Than Marijuana

Monday, April 23rd, 2007

That’s one of the headlines in the teaser copy on the envelope
used to mail Dan Kennedy’s latest “No B.S. Marketing Letter.”

The article actually details a study that shows email can
“decrease” your intelligence. It’s a great read.

Do You Mow Your Own Lawn

Monday, April 23rd, 2007

I’ve spent about 2 hours over the last several
days trying to get a cantankerous lawn mower
running. I’m currently at the point where it
starts and runs for about 2 seconds and then
dies.

A lawn mower is such a simple machine that I CAN’T
let it defeat me… especially since I once taught
small engine repair at a vocational tech school in
North Carolina (a summer jobs program in a depressed
area).

I now reflect upon an article I read by my friend
Jimmy D. Brown, long ago, where he talked about why
he doesn’t do his lawn. His time is worth much more
than he’d pay for someone else to maintain his lawn.

My twisted thinking is that I need the exercise. I’m
currently putting in about 5-7 miles per day of walking
or running… in an effort to get back in shape, and
so I reason that I may as well do something “useful”
while burning off the blubber :-)
At the same time, if you visit
http://WillieCrawford.com/mentoring.html
you’ll see that I do charge a hefty hourly fee just
for consultations, and for reviewing products. That’s
primarily because I get asked to review about 30
products per week. Since I can’t review them all, I
use charging a nominal fee as a way to decide which ones
have a developer/creator confident enough to invest in
his own product’s success. It’s a nice little income
stream for me.

Paying someone $50- $100 per week to maintain my lawn
makes perfect sense, except that I would then just be doing
“busy work” as a I worked out. Still, I shouldn’t be doing
my lawn… and you probably should either. If you can get a
anything done cheaper than it costs you to do it, then you
should “outsource it!”

Ron LeGrand has a saying, “The less I do, the more I make.”
Learn from Ron, and from my realization that I don’t always
spend my time in the best way.

A Simple Traffic Experiment

Monday, April 23rd, 2007

One of my most successful websites is a cooking
website. As a simple experiment, I’m posting 1000
new recipes to the blog on that site to see what it
does to traffic, page rank, Alex rank, and sales.

I’ll have soem help with making those 1000 new posts
and am not sure how see they’ll get made. I’ll let
you know what happens. I suspect that pushing out
that much additional “search engine bait” will increase
traffic and sales significantly. It will prove that
“content really is king!”

Markus Allen - Absolutely Brilliant But Controversial

Sunday, April 22nd, 2007

If you’ve never checked out Markus Allen’s site, you should.
He is one of the most brilliant marketers that I’ve ever met.

Markus-Allen-Poloroid.gif

Markus Allen

I interviewed him for a href The Internet Marketing Inner
Circle.

He’s overflowing with technical know-how, is an avid testers,
a very effective copywriter, and not afraid of controversy. In
fact, he has stepped on the toes of some of the most successful
internet marketers that I know. He’s been “chastised” several
times for doing that.

Markus’ ideas have made me a LOT of money.

Not Keeping You Very Up To Date

Friday, April 20th, 2007

Sorry that I haven’t done a better job at keeping you
updated at how I’m doing on my goal to earn $100k with
those $7 offers. Actually, I haven’t focused on them a
lot lately.

I have come across 2 that are doing exceptionally well.
I did blog about both of them but it may have escaped your
notice. One that you should jump on is here:
http://www.imtaxsavvy.com/membership/?link=15

This one pays 100% on a $7.77 offer that’s converting at
better than 15% for me!

The second one, I plan on writing an article on soon,
which I will post on this blog.
