How To Reverse Engineer My #1 Google Rankings

Friday, May 29th, 2009

How To Reverse Engineer My #1 Google Rankings
Copyright 2009 by Willie Crawford

To many online marketers, getting a #1 listing on
Google for your target keyword phrases is “heaven.” It
does lead to many times more traffic than being even #2
or #3. If you’re not on the first page of Google, you
may as well forget getting any significant traffic in
many niches. At least you should plan on generating
your traffic via other channels since few searchers look
past the first page of search engine results.

Google the terms “joint venture expert” or “land for
$100″ and you’ll see that I rank #1 for both terms and
have for a VERY long time.

Yes, people do search on those terms, regardless of
what you might think, and they both generate substantial
incomes for me, but they are not my most profitable
keywords. They are just keywords that I will use to prove
to you that I have a clue about how to get top Google listings.
You really shouldn’t listen to “experts” who can’t back up
with they teach with proof.

Next, I invite you to try to reverse engineer what I
did. Actually, I’ll share much of my secret process with
you. Not all of what I do is very obvious.

Here are the things that I do:

1) I target specific, long-tail, buying keywords. It’s
easier to rank for 3-5 word phrases, and people entering
those phrases into the search engines are looking for
something very specific. This is the traffic that you
want to attract.

2) I use article marketing extensively to generate massive
backlinks. All things being equal, the one with the most
backlinks from relevant quality sites WINS.

3) I use video marketing, submitting to top video
sharing sites using titles and descriptions optimized
for my keywords.

4) I use pod casting, submitting my audios to numerous
podcast directories, as well as offering them from
numerous websites. People who hear your audio
message, and click through to your site, arrive pre-sold
on your and ready to follow your recommendations.

My pod cast submissions are also keyword optimized!

5) I use my keywords in anchor text on my blogs, and
in article directories where allowed.

6) I generate a LOT of content, and repurpose that
content regularly. I publicize that content on
social networking sites, on other resource sites that
allow me to publicize my content, and even in press
releases.

For example, I post announcements of my updated content
often to IMNewsWatch.com, teleseminarNation.com and
leading industry forums.

7) I use automation. If I had to hand submit all of
my content I would only be able to distribute 1/10th
as much. All things being equal, he who submits the
most quality content wins.

8) I adhere to the rules and terms of service at the
article, video, podcasts, and press release sharing
sites. It does no good to get great rankings, only to
be banned a few weeks or months later (having all of
your content removed, and your work go to waste). I
use 100% whitehat tactics.

9) I generate quality content. I does no good to throw
garbage at the search engines. You’ll only attract
non-responsive traffic (wasting bandwidth and giving you
useless website traffic conversion statistics), and you’ll
also eventually experience backlash. Write primarily
for humans, but keeping good SEO in mind. The simplest
way to do that is to use your primary keywords in your
titles and descriptions, when creating and uploading
content. Also be sure to use your primary keywords
throughout your content.

10) I create external links to some of my content
posted on sites OTHER THAN my primary sites. Linking
to content that then links to your primary sites
increases the relevance of external links from that
content pointing to your primary sites. That helps
the content on your primary sites rank higher longer.
SEO experts call that “adding link juice!” If you
don’t do this, you’ll often rank high for given
keywords only for a few days, and then quickly drop in
ranking. Adding “link juice” helps the ranking “stick.”

There you have it - how I get and maintain #1 Google
rankings for tons of keywords that my buying customers
search on regularly at Google. Model what I do, and
you’ll get similar results.

You’re already making these SEO mistakes - I did

Friday, May 29th, 2009

When I signed up for StomperNet’s new free “7 Deadly SEO
Mistakes
” course, I was only really doing it to check out how
StomperNet had put it together.

http://WillieCrawford.com/7DeadlySEOMistakes/

I mean, I already “know” SEO, right?

And I DID already know a lot of the stuff in the reports and
videos they’ve sent so far. SEO fundamentals haven’t changed
since the 90’s. But then I dared myself to check my sites for
these mistakes anyway, and SHAME ON ME!

I KNOW what I’m supposed to be doing, but marketing
distractions, putting out fires, plain old procrastination, you
know the drill…

But now, thanks to StomperNet’s course, I have a handy-dandy
checklist that I can use to fix each site right up.

http://WillieCrawford.com/7DeadlySEOMistakes/

Plus, I can even use it the next time I start a new site, so I’m
not ever ashamed again when I get called out for my SEO.

Check it out here - there’s a free video just to tell you the
whole scoop, and then you can sign up and start getting the
course immediately after.

http://WillieCrawford.com/7DeadlySEOMistakes/

Very much worth your time.
Willie

P.S. Even if you know SEO, I dare you to check this out, and
challenge you! If you aren’t making ONE of these mistakes (even
though you think you know better) - you should call StomperNet
and ask if there’s a faculty opening. :)

A Beginner’s Guide To Making Money With Google AdSense

A Beginner’s Guide To Making Money With Google AdSense
Copyright 2009

If you’re new to the world of online marketing, you may not
yet know that it’s possible to make money with Google. Yes the
search engine. Even if you’ve heard bits and pieces of this
idea here and there, you may not fully understand exactly how
this works or whether it’s a legitimate way to make money
online.

First of all - Yes you can make money with Google. In fact,
you can do this in two entirely different ways.

Secondly: Beware of scams and shady offers. There are
questionable products online which claim that you can get paid
to place ads on Google. And while this is technically true to an
extent, it’s not nearly that cut and dry. There’s a heck of a
lot of information they’re leaving out of their promotions, most
importantly that you usually have to pay Google to place those
ads.

This article isn’t addressing that side of the Google equation
though. Instead here we’ll talk about how to make money with
Google’s AdSense program… where you’re not buying ads, you’re
using Google as a broker to sell ad space on your website.

Google unfortunately helps create some of the confusion
themselves because they have two similar but opposite programs
named in similar ways: AdWords and AdSense.

AdWords allows you to pay money to place advertisements on the
Google search engine pages, and pages on others websites that
Google acts as middleman for.

AdSense allows you to EARN money by displaying advertisements on
your website, those ads that AdWords customers pay to place.

AdSense is a great way to make money online, because you can
start small and earn money the very first day of putting it in
place. Over time with work and effort, you can grow your AdSense
earnings into a nice monthly paycheck.

Some people earn enough money with AdSense each month to simply
supplement other income they earn, while others actually make a
full time living with it. And a very rare, savvy few make
hundreds of thousands of dollars each year from AdSense alone.

To make any money at all from AdSense though, you first need to
have a website. You can use free sites to start with though, and
a popular one is Blogger because it’s owned by Google and it’s
extremely easy to set up.

Having your own website and domain name is usually best however,
and if you decide to start making money online with AdSense you
will learn the pros and cons of this over time. To start with
though, any website will work as long as it is on a topic that
Google allows AdSense ads to be displayed on. You are not
allowed to put AdSense on websites which deal with adult topics
for example, or illegal topics and content, or gambling.

Naturally, the sites which make the most money from AdSense are
those which get the most traffic. Traffic is simply the number
of human visitors who come to your site for information,
pictures, products, and for various other reasons. If you can
get real people to come to your website, and click on the ads,
you can earn money from Google AdSense.

The reason traffic is so important when it comes to making money
with AdSense is because you earn money each time one of the ads
is clicked by your visitor. Not all visitors will click an ad on
your site though, usually just a tiny percentage of them will do
so. Therefore, the more visitors you can attract to the site,
the more clicks you are able to generate. And each click earns
you a little more money.

Most websites which make good money from AdSense tend to provide
useful information in the form of articles or other written
content. You could create tutorials for example, about how to
use specific cell phones. You could write articles and reports
about how to successfully complete a popular video game (sharing
“cheats.” You could write about daily news topics, teach people
how to cook (which I do on one of my most successful sites), or
even just share travel or hobby notes.

A blog sharing your travel notes and photos for example would
cause Google to display travel ads related to those locations.
You’d earn money when people clicked to check out a location, or
a travel-related service.

Successful and profitable AdSense sites can be created in a wide
variety of ways. Some are fairly simple. Some are even personal,
Others are professional or educational. There are also fun and
entertaining sites which provide videos, photos, hand drawn
graphics, and jokes or funny stories.

Creating any type of content which is popular enough to draw
large amounts of traffic regularly is the key to earning great
money with Google AdSense. Keeping this at the forefront of your
mind in everything you do pertaining to a given site will give
you the best long-term results and profits.

As you can tell this article only touches on the subject of
making money with AdSense. There are a lot of intricacies,
techniques and tactics that people use to try to earn more
money from AdSense - things to attract more visitors and to
generate a higher click-through rate. You will want to learn
more of these, but you will also want to review Google’s
terms of service to avoid violating them and having your AdSense
account getting shut down, and losing any unpaid commissions.

If you keep the above basics in mind you’re off to an excellent
start. You can continue learning additional strategies and
tactics as you become more experienced and comfortable with this
method of making money online.

Why YOU Should Use Link Cloaking & Affiliate Link Redirects

Wednesday, May 27th, 2009

Link Cloaking And Affiliate Link Redirecting (Part 1)
Copyright 2009 by Willie Crawford

Let’s begin our discussion of link cloaking and
redirecting affiliate links by looking at what
that means, and why you’d want to do it.

First of all, one definition of “cloaking”
is “hiding,” which instantly implies something
devious to some. Link cloaking DOES mean hiding,
or changing the link format from the default, for
some reason. In the sense that I’m going to
teach you, there is no evil intent. It’s just
one method of increasing your affiliate sales.

Link redirecting involves inserting your
affiliate link into some script, webpage, or
file, and then using a link defined by that
script, webpage or file when you promote the
primary link.

Reasons that you’d want to cloak or redirect
your links include:

1) To protect yourself from affiliate commission
theft. Many affiliates readily recognize a link
for a Clickbank product, for example, and know that
they often only need to insert their ClickBank ID
where yours is in that link to earn the commission
on their own purchase. They jokingly call that
an “instant discount.”

Affiliate marketers will often see an affiliate
link, and visit the website looking for a link
to register for the affiliate program, and then
purchase through their own link, robbing the
affiliate, who first made them aware of the
product, of the commission that they rightly
earned.

This is very prevalent, and many product owners
really don’t care about the affiliates, so it’s
often not prohibited. Those merchants will earn
the same amount regardless of which affiliate
earns the commission.

I refuse to promote most affiliate products that
don’t specifically prohibit affiliates purchasing
through their own affiliate links. I also
insist upon that being the policy at companies that
I help run such as http://EasyPushButtonTraffic.com

Clickbank doesn’t prohibit affiliates from buying
through their own links, and I actually promote
VERY few products on Clickbank just for that
reason.

2) To shorten and “pretty up” long, clunky
affiliate links.

3) To make the affiliate links less obvious. Some
people do not like the idea of you earning a
commission on products that you recommend. They
often even assume that you recommended the product
ONLY because you earn a commission.

4) To get your email delivered, even if the primary
domain for the affiliate program is blacklisted.
During many product launches, overly-aggressive
affiliates promote so hard that they irritate a
lot of subscribers. Those subscribers often file
spam complaints, even though they subscribed to
the subject newsletters.

When enough spam complaints are received about a
given domain, the ISP’s will often blacklist that
domain. At that point, many of the emails that
are sent which contain that domains url will
automatically be deleted. So, you could have
a list of 100,000 and because your email
contains a blacklisted domain, maybe only 10% of
your emails get delivered.

I have a free 52-part email course designed to
train affiliate marketers. It covers this topic
as well as tons of other tips and tactics that
are very effective in selling affiliate products.
The course also included 15 videos showing how
to do things that you need to master to be an
effective affiliate marketer.

You can enroll in that affiliate training free at:
http://WillieCrawford.com/FreeAffiliateTraining/

Ok, this article is getting long enough, so let’s
end it for now. Part-2 will get into the
specifics of HOW you redirect or cloak a link.
Be on the lookout for it, and make plans now to
start redirecting or cloaking all of those ugly
affiliate links.
