All-Electric Homes In A Hurricane Zone

On my 5-mile walk this morning, I noticed
that practically ALL of the homes under
construction in my neighborhood had “All
Electric Home” signs.

2-3 years ago, when my area was hit by an
incredible number of hurricanes, the storms
often knocked out the electrical power for
up to 2 weeks.

I have a generator, and several LARGE cans
of gas, so I could power a few things…
like a fan, floor lamps, a fridge, etc.

I also have a gas grill, so I could still
cook some things… I also had bags of
charcoal and bottled water.

I wonder about the wisdom of all-electric
homes in a hurricane prone area.

How do I tie that into Internet marketing?

Just that you need to have a contingency
plan. What if your web host comes under a
“denial of service attack.” What if email
from your web host is blocked by most other
ISP’s because they are discovered to have
open relays (this has happened to me before)!

Just food for though… and me observing my
surroundings :-)
