Would it surprise you if I told you that, when I look
at all of the online product launches I’ve had the
priviledge of studying from behind the scenes, I would
consider more of them failures than successes?

Sure some of them did “ok” but they could have
easily done 10 times better with just a few little
“tweaks.”

Let me touch upon just a couple of those here, in-case
you’re contemplating rolling out your own product over
the internet.

Perhaps the single biggest killer of product launches
is an unwillingness to work with others in your niche.

They are NOT your competitors, they are potential joint
venture partners and affiliates.

That often means that you have to help out others FIRST.

In fact, there is no easier way to get noticed in your
niche than to join in on a big product launch and make
more sales than most of the other affiliates.

Believe it or not, it’s not THAT difficult to get your
name on “the leaderboard” in one of those affiliate
sales contest. The reason is that most of those other
affiliates are promoting a ton of other products during
the launch period. They don’t really, really focus their
efforts on any one product.

By concentrating your efforts on one product, for weeks,
or even a month or more, you could easily become the
top affiliate for that product, and get your name in
light.

Why would you want to do that?

Two reasons…

1) All of the other affiliates, who are also YOUR
potential affiliates, notice that you are “a player.”

2) You create some sense of reciprocity or obligation
with that product owner. You make them more likely to
say yes to promoting your product, and if they’ve just
finished a big product launch, their list is the
“hottest” one in your niche.

What better list than the buyers list, comprised of
proven buyers from all of the other affiliates’ lists.
That’s what the person just wrapping up a major launch
in any given niche has. If you helped them to achieve
that success, they WILL feel obligated to return the
favor.

If you plan far enough in advance, you could stack
up the favors, that you could “call in” when you
launch!

So one of the big “secrets” to a massively successful
product launch… is having the partience to put your
launch on hold and help out someone else.

Believe it or not, there are many marketers who are
simply unwilling to do this, and so they often struggle
for YEARS!

The simple formula is “Help the other person first, and
use their launch to build your name recognition and
reputation for delivering, and then to seek reciprocity.”

When you do that, and you then approach all of the
other affiliates in your niche (your competitors),
they are more likely to say yes because they know that
YOU can produce results. They will say yes, because
they are hoping for reciprocity when they decide to
do a product launch.

The other MAJOR piece of this puzzle that is missing
is that you need to have a really great product.

You need to have a product that works beautifully,
and that others will be happy to get behind because
they know that it will make their customers/subscribers
happy.

If they look closely at your product and they see that
it’s a piece of garbage, they are going to quietly
back away, as they should. If they don’t, they will
soon find themselves out of business as they lose
all credibility with their list members.

The only other piece of the puzzle is how do you
actually find these pools of affiliates just waiting
for great products to sell.

I’ll suggest two groups on Facebook as a starting
point. One is call, “Affiliate Products Proven To
Sell.” Just as the name implies, this group is for
product owners to list their products that they
already have a proven track record for. That makes
it a great place to find products that will sell
well for you too.

approved by an admin, but that should happen fairly
quicky.

The second group is called “Big Ticket Affiliate
Marketers.” Just as that name implies, these are
affiliate marketers who prefer to focus on higher
priced items.

and you can find great products that others are
launching there.

group fairly quickly.

With both of the above groups, keep on-topic to
avoid being banned from the group.

Having a great product launch is about laying
the ground work early, and adhering to a few simple
rules. Follow the ones outlined above and you are
off to a great start.

I’ve watched dozens of people launch social networking
platforms, and this one is drastically different, and
virtually assured to take off! Most that I’ve watched
involved people grabbing some inexpensive (and incomplete)
piece of software, and throwing up a site.

creating the software didn’t really think anyone would
actually  USE their software

An aweful lot of money has already been poured into the

Is that a pipe dream?

No!

It does take a little effort, but in my opinion
it’s worth it, and here’s how you do it…

First of all, the search engines are all about
content, so what you have to do is feed the
search engines a LOT of relevant content on
your topic, and that content must contain your
most important keywords.

We’re NOT going to worry about keyword density,
since that’s a moving target. We’re just going
to submit a LOT of content, knowing that if
you submit enough you’ll not only dominate for
your major keywords, BUT that you’ll also rank
for tons of “long-tail” keywords. Those long-tail
keywords will bring in less traffic per keyword,
but it adds up, and that traffic is VERY targeted.

For the more competitive niches you may need
to submit several hundred articles on your topic
to hundreds of places. It depends upon how many
of your competitors are also driving traffic via
content.

Don’t worry, this doesn’t have to be difficult
or expensive.

Here is a very inexpensive piece of desktop
software that allows you to automatically
submit all of your articles to 400-450 article

After you submit those articles to the article
directories… or as you submit them to the
article directories, you’re going to take those
very same articles, convert them to videos, and
submit them to over 100 video sharing sites.

In case you haven’t noticed, Google LOVES video.
Type in any competitive keyword, and there’s a
good chance that you’ll see videos right near
the top of the results.

What’s even more important about those videos
in the listing is that they get a LOT of traffic to
your sites. The images grab the eyeballs of the
person looking at all of those search engine
results, and if it has an interesting title and
description, they will click.

Now that you have hundreds of articles and videos
in hundreds of places, giving you thousands of
“signposts” in cyberspace all pointing back to
you, there is one more thing that you are going to
do, that MOST people miss…

You’re going to build backlinks to your articles
and videos, semi-automatically. Yes, you are
building backlinks to your main “money site”
but for a real boost, you need to build backlinks
to as many of your articles and videos as
practical. These backlinks help those articles and
videos rank in the search engines and get lots of
traffic. Those backlinks will also give you a traffic
boost that will completely blow you away.

In a future post, coming up very soon, I’ll show
you how to automatically generate HUNDREDS of
backlinks to each of your articles or videos. I’ll
show you how to do this where the backlinks grow
slowly over time, so that it looks more “natural”
to the search engines… so the search engines don’t
discount those links.

I’ll show you a lot of other little tricks that I
use to get my high-priced clients, targeting some
very competitive keywords, to the top of the
search engines… and KEEP THEM THERE.

articles, and videos.

The only obstacle that I can envision now is that
you may NOT be a talented writer. If that’s the
case, start with private label rights articles.
Read through each, and then rephrase it in your own
words. Just take a paragraph, read it, and then
change it to your understanding of what was said.
That should work. If it doesn’t you may need to
outsource your article writing.

I choose the keyword (even HIGHLY competitive ones) — and
in short order (the time varies) the site and offer I’m
