I offered to allow customers to watch as I earned $100k,<br />
during the month of January 2012, doing things that I<br />
asserted anyone could do. I offered to send daily email<br />
updates explaining what I did, why I did it, and what the<br />
results were. </p>
<p>20 days into the endeavor (partly in response to questions<br />
and comments on the Warrior Forum), I shared Lesson 20 on<br />
the forum itself. </p>
<p>I also gave affiliates, who  are helping to spread the word<br />
about the WSO, permission to share that sample lesson in<br />
their marketing.</p>
<p>I chose this lesson BECAUSE it allows me to give you a<br />
peek inside the training, without giving it all away.</p>
<p>At the same time, it does provide some valuable<br />
insights that I hope you find useful. </p>

<p>Diary &#8211; $100k In January 2012 &#8211; January 22nd, 2012</p>
<p>Welcome to Day 20&#8230; the day that I arrived home and got to<br />
play with my impatient new grandchild for the first time<br />
(she was born six weeks early)  <img src='http://williecrawford.com/blog2/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':-)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>This issue is heavily-influenced by feedback that I&#8217;m<br />
getting from you guys&#8230; especially your wanting to<br />
see more RESULTS! </p>
<p>Up to this point, most of my efforts have been laying the<br />
groundwork for those results&#8230; for reasons that I&#8217;ll explain<br />
today!</p>
<p>On the airplane on the way home, I actually flowed<br />
out 23 articles in notepad on my iPhone.  My wife<br />
would occasionally glance over at my phone, notice the<br />
smile on my face, and ask what I was doing.</p>
<p>After being home for about two hours, and playing<br />
with the baby most of that time,  I felt the time<br />
pressures, and started turning those notes into articles. </p>
<p>Here&#8217;s the first one that I published:</p>

<p>Pretend Internet Marketing Experts, Dreamers, And Doers<br />

<p>In internet marketing (the niche that I know best)<br />
as well as many other online niches, it&#8217;s often<br />
difficult to tell who the genuine experts are. </p>
<p>That&#8217;s important because it makes it difficult to know<br />
who to take advice from.</p>
<p>The danger is that you will spend months, or even years,<br />
following the advice of someone who either sells you<br />
his theory, or who just makes up something that sounds<br />
plausible, and doesn&#8217;t even care if it&#8217;s accurate&#8230; as<br />
long as it sells.</p>
<p>Yes, there ARE people who will sell you anything and<br />
don&#8217;t care if it works, but I very strongly believe<br />
that they are a tiny minority.</p>
<p>There are also those who believe that you will not<br />
buy their products unless they &#8220;fake it until you<br />
make it.&#8221;  Many of these people may actually have<br />
really good intentions, but since they believe that<br />
they have to pretend to be something that they are<br />
not, they can be a real threat to your success.</p>
<p>The fake it till you make it types often blur the<br />
lines as to what they are actually qualified to teach<br />
you.  Their perceived dilemma is that they feel that<br />
they HAVE TO fake it.  </p>
<p>Several years ago, in an interview, I asked my friend<br />
and mentor, Rich Schefren, how one overcomes this.<br />
Rich explained that it&#8217;s as simple as being your authentic<br />
self.  Identify what you ARE qualified to teach, identify<br />
the audience that does want to learn that, and sell to<br />
them.  </p>
<p>Rich&#8217;s advice really boiled down to merely acknowledging<br />
that your potential audience members are at all different<br />
levels along the learning curve, and you just need to focus<br />
on the ones who need the level of guidance that you are<br />
genuinely qualified to deliver.</p>
<p>The next pretend expert that you need to be aware of<br />
is &#8220;the dreamer&#8221; who understand on a certain level but<br />
have never DONE anything and therefore isn&#8217;t 100%<br />
certain that what they offer to teach you WORKS. They&#8217;ve<br />
STUDIED  a lot, but they haven&#8217;t physically verified<br />
what they believe to be true.</p>
<p>These are you armchair quarterbacks, your armchair<br />
copywriters, and your armchair marketing experts.  </p>
<p>I honestly think that many of the armchair experts<br />
are most dangerous to themselves. I&#8217;ve encountered<br />
dozens of them over the years who had studied the same<br />
materials that I had, and knew it well enough that they<br />
frequently quoted the same people that I did&#8230; and<br />
often even finished my sentences when I tried explaining<br />
something to them.</p>
<p>I say that they were a danger to themselves, because<br />
they never moved beyond the knowing stage into the<br />
implementation stage, so they could never earn a living<br />
even though they understood how!  I honestly believe that<br />
they were afraid to actually do something, or they were<br />
dabbling in too many different things to take any one<br />
thing through to completion.</p>
<p>Either way, these are the experts who, based upon being<br />
old-timers who have put in the time learning, should be<br />
very successful. Yet, they are STUCK at just knowing and<br />
won&#8217;t acknowledge that they MUST move beyond that.</p>
<p>Then you have the newbie who listens, learns and applies.<br />
Some of them move up the ladder very rapidly, and are at<br />
the top of the &#8220;expert ladder&#8221; in 1/10th of the time that<br />
others take, and they ARE genuine experts.</p>
<p>Two quick examples of these &#8220;doers&#8221; are Russell Brunson<br />
and Ryan Deiss.  </p>
<p>I remember when Russell was a college student, wrestling,<br />
and then starting to raise a family.  He was on the<br />
Warrior Forum, aggressively learning, testing, and DOING.<br />
Not that much later, I could see that Russell had hit<br />
six-figures, and then seven-figures.</p>
<p>I first notice Ryan Deiss in December 2002, when he was<br />
an attendee at the very first seminar that ever attended<br />
(and spoke at).  I don&#8217;t believe that he was even 20 years<br />
old yet, and he sat there taking and organizing copious<br />
notes.  He asked deep, relevant questions.  </p>
<p>Ryan has now probably surpassed most of my fellow<br />
speakers who graced the stage during that era.  Ryan now<br />
has other very successful guru&#8217;s working for his<br />
companies <img src='http://williecrawford.com/blog2/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':-)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>I&#8217;m compelled to warn my readers to be aware of the pretend<br />
experts and dreamers, but I&#8217;m equally as compelled to point<br />
out what sets the doers apart!</p>
<p>The &#8220;snakes in the grass&#8221; will always exist, and part of the<br />
reason that they will even thrive is because of customer<br />
greed.  Greed causes people to make very poor choices.</p>
<p>FEAR also causes people to make poor decisions, and I<br />
believe that is what keeps more people who have the<br />
knowledge from becoming doers!</p>
<p>To become one of the successful doers, you have to actually,<br />
REALLY believe that it is possible. Then you have to<br />
believe that it is possible for you.</p>
<p>For me personally, I grew to believe that it was possible,<br />
after spending a lot of time hanging around with, and even<br />
masterminding with, others who actually walked-the-walk.</p>
<p>I grew to believe that it was possible for me after<br />
observing that many of the ULTRA successful people that I<br />
hung around were really quite ordinary in most respects.<br />
I would  even dare say that some were of below average<br />
intelligence&#8230; and I even know that they would say this<br />
about themselves.</p>
<p>The differences are:</p>
<p>1) You have to give yourself permission to actually become<br />
successful.</p>
<p>2) You need to work on your mindset, because &#8220;going big&#8221; is<br />
largely mental. Once you have the correct mindset, then it<br />
JUST HAPPENS.</p>
<p>I know this to be true because that has been my experience.<br />
I grew up on government subsistence (welfare) surrounded by<br />
poverty and no real mega-successful role models.  I did have<br />
several  teachers who lovingly challenged and inspired me.</p>
<p>I had my big breakthrough after hanging around the ultra<br />
successful, and being bathed in their mindset. </p>
<p>They also taught me that the rich and ultra-successful were<br />
not necessarily “evil” <img src='http://williecrawford.com/blog2/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':-)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>That “flow” started me and many of my friends along a path<br />
that made success destined to happen. It also programmed us<br />
to always be successful even if we occasionally suffer<br />
setbacks&#8230; because we now understand the path and have that<br />
essential mindset.</p>
<p>The final ingredient for me was being actually mentored by<br />
an individual who showed me how I was really the ONLY<br />
person who could hold me back, and then how to get out of my<br />
way and allow unimagined success to flow into my life.  </p>

<p>Notice that that article is fairly emotionally charged. It&#8217;s<br />
very difficult for a person to read the article and not feel<br />
motivated to take some action, even if it&#8217;s to fire off an<br />
email to me telling me that they disagree.</p>
<p>I could sense shortly after publishing the article that it<br />
did indeed &#8220;piss off&#8221; many readers.  It had that effect<br />
because it no longer allowed them to blame others for the<br />
results that they&#8217;ve gotten in life thus far.  Most of the<br />
world tells you that it&#8217;s not your fault because they know<br />
that&#8217;s what you want to hear.  I was deliberately using a<br />
little &#8220;tough love!&#8221;</p>
<p>People respond to this type of article, they comment on it,<br />
and they share it with others, so this is the type of article<br />
that I will be publishing a LOT of over the next 10 days or<br />
so.</p>
<p>That article is engineered to generate an emotional<br />
under-current that people HAVE to respond to!</p>
<p>I published that article to a tiny list of about 7000 general<br />
internet marketers whom I also felt would &#8220;get&#8221; that &#8220;mindset&#8221;<br />
is a major part of the game. It&#8217;s what allows you to actually<br />
follow-through with doing the other things that you need to<br />
do in order to have extra-ordinary success.</p>
<p>Developing that mindset and following through DOES often<br />
mean doing things that you are slightly uncomfortable with.<br />
I shared with you earlier that even I have to do that. I<br />
also shared with you my zip lining experience, where I<br />
actually FORCED myself to REPEATELY step off the edge of cliffs,<br />
attached to tiny cables that I didn&#8217;t really have that<br />
much faith in.  My point was NOT that I was on an exotic<br />
Caribbean cruise, but that I purposely FORCED myself to do<br />
something that I didn&#8217;t really want to do, but knew that it<br />
would force me to grow in the direction that I wanted to<br />
move.</p>
<p>In case you missed it, the tactic that I used to keep me<br />
from backing out was to publicly state on my Facebook profile<br />
(and to my wife) that I was going to do something that I<br />
feared. I turned them all into powerful accountability<br />
partners&#8230; and it worked!</p>
<p>That article is designed to make people really examine their<br />
online marketing (somewhat bridging the gap between internet<br />
marketing and personal development).</p>
<p>I AM at a tremendous disadvantage in the Personal Development<br />
Niche, and since I&#8217;m not known there, needed to create a logical<br />
bridge that people might be willing to step across.</p>
<p>When I&#8217;m reading an article, the first question that I<br />
personally ask myself is &#8220;What makes this person qualified<br />
to write this article?&#8221;  I want to know &#8220;What makes them an<br />
expert!&#8221;  If we fail to answer that question in our own<br />
articles, we lose the reader and your article will be largely<br />
a waste of time.</p>
<p>My over-arching goal is&#8230; hopefully to get lots of people<br />
re-posting the article, and it&#8217;s primary purpose is of course<br />
to get people to check out the Level 5 Mentoring program&#8230; where<br />
I&#8217;ll earn a commission when people actually benefit from the<br />
free webinar, and because they do benefit, they want the paid<br />
product  that goes deeper.</p>
<p>Since the article covers an emotionally charged topic, and I<br />
used the title as my email subject line, I do expect a very<br />
high number of readers.</p>
<p>I will also submit that article to EzineArticles.com and to<br />
IdeaMarketers.com, and will also bookmark it using the tools<br />
that I mentioned to you yesterday.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ll share it in the other places already mentioned.</p>
<p>I can see this ONE article generating thousands of visitors<br />
WHEN it goes viral, or gets a lot of  commentary from the<br />
right people.</p>
<p>I would also like to explain at this point WHY I<br />
chose personal development or self-help as a niche<br />
to focus on.</p>
<p>First of all, I&#8217;m not known AT ALL in the personal<br />
development niche, so I feel that this is a great<br />
test of my methods. I AM starting at the SAME point<br />
that a newbie would be starting at&#8230; one of getting<br />
people who don&#8217;t know me as an expert in that space,<br />
to listen to me.</p>
<p>Given that people buy from people that they know,<br />
like and trust, that means that I have to figure<br />
out how to get potential customers in that niche to<br />
know, like, and trust me.   </p>
<p>Anyone in this situation has two choices&#8230; you<br />
can either develop the know-like-and-trust factor,<br />
or you can borrow it.</p>
<p>I chose to do both!</p>
<p>First, I chose to develop it by pushing out a TON<br />
of content that rapidly proves my actual expertise<br />
in this area. Given that I am a newbie in the niche,<br />
that proof has to show that I not only understand<br />
the theory, but that I actually LIVE the principles.</p>
<p>PROVING that I understand and have actually harnessed<br />
the principles is why my writing focuses so much on<br />
my lifestyle.  That proves that I live what I&#8217;m<br />
teaching day-to-day and as a result, I gain the<br />
benefit&#8230; implying if you copy my application of the<br />
principles exactly, then you&#8217;ll get the same results.</p>
<p>My readers need to see that I get above-average results<br />
from my applying certain principles.  I need to<br />
unequivocally PROVE that.  </p>
<p>Given that most authors, in most niches online, generate<br />
little more than a lot of theory, IF I show practical<br />
examples of the application of what I cover, then I can<br />
quickly go from an unknown in the niche to a<br />
much-respected authority <img src='http://williecrawford.com/blog2/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':-)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>That&#8217;s what you need to do too.</p>
<p>YOU, as a subscriber, even have to see my doing that or<br />
you quickly tune out, and don&#8217;t stick around long enough<br />
to see how massively effective what I&#8217;m doing really<br />
can be.</p>
<p>The second way to get that know-like-and-trust factor,<br />
is to borrow it.  That&#8217;s where solo ads come in. In placing<br />
solo ads, I&#8217;m approaching list owners who already have that<br />
relationship with their list and asking them for a direct or<br />
indirect endorsement.  </p>
<p>I also shared with you in an earlier lesson that I&#8217;m<br />
actually reaching out to a few friends and asking them<br />
to share my content-rich Facebook posts and events with<br />
their followers. </p>
<p>I&#8217;m merely sending them private messages, asking them to<br />
please share a post or Event.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m only asking them to do that with content that I feel<br />
that their &#8220;Friends&#8221; will enjoy or appreciate.</p>
<p>I submit that we ALL have a few close friends that we<br />
can ask a favor of, but also admit that asking favors<br />
of even close friends can feel uncomfortable. </p>
<p>If you want extra-ordinary results you DO have to force<br />
yourself to do things that people willing to live with<br />
ordinary results simply won&#8217;t do.  I can do that because<br />
I honesty feel that my content is changing lives.</p>
<p>So, I am borrowing credibility.  You need to do the<br />
same thing!</p>
<p>You do have friends. They ARE willing to give you a<br />
break especially IF they expect you at some point in<br />
the future to reciprocate.</p>
<p>How well is this working for me?</p>
<p>In the Self-Help Giveaway that I&#8217;m using as a case-study,<br />
I&#8217;ve moved from not even being in the top 20 (based on<br />
over-all referrals), to where I expect to be in the top 5<br />
VERY soon,  and then to fight my way into the top three,<br />
where I WILL  earn a free solo mailing in my new niche&#8230;<br />
with the #1 position offering that solo mailing to 250,000.</p>
<p>You may feel that you DON&#8217;T need a &#8220;pep talk&#8221; but I hope<br />
that you do see that it&#8217;s worth the monumental effort, and<br />
that after you make that initial monumental effort, that<br />
the rest can simply fall in place.</p>
<p>I entered a new niche, made a monumental effort doing<br />
things that I feel slightly uncomfortable with, and after<br />
30 days, I should actually have made over $100k, largely<br />
from soft-selling a product in my new niche, and from<br />
leveraging the credentials of others who are long<br />
established in that space.</p>
<p>I am going up against GIANTS in that space, and because<br />
I am willing to do more, I will prevail, but I will be<br />
doing things that you CAN do too.</p>
<p>My focus the rest of the journey is on buying solo ads<br />
(buying endorsements), but even there, I&#8217;m largely<br />
spending money earned from other efforts that I shared<br />
with you in previous lessons.</p>
<p>I have arranged 32 solo ads that will start running as<br />
early as today. For each of those ads, I am using a<br />
unique tracking url, so that I know where my results<br />
came from, and I will share that with you (unless I<br />
was specifically prohibited by the ad seller for some<br />
strange reason).</p>
<p>In the last lesson, I showed you how to set-up for this<br />
solo ad barrage with as little as $25&#8230; but that&#8230; starting<br />
with that little meant that it would take a few days longer.</p>
<p>Now, thanks to your patience as I laid the framework,<br />
you&#8217;ll get to watch it all unfold, and even be able to<br />
use my EXACT solo ad sources if you choose to, and if you<br />
act fast.  Of course, over 1200 others will be reading<br />
these same notes, so if you are not fast, you may be in<br />
for a bit of a wait.</p>
<p>Moving forward, I&#8217;m going to make the lessons less<br />
verbose, since hopefully by this time, you&#8217;ve gotten<br />
the mindset part.</p>
<p>I will add that this IS all an inexact science. There is<br />
a lot of testing and tracking involved, and even the top<br />
marketing experts have to admit that the outcomes are not<br />
always exact.</p>
<p>In fact, in a recent discussion, a friend shared with me<br />
a conversation that he had with a guy who has often<br />
billed himself as &#8220;the godfather of internet marketing.&#8221;<br />
He shared that this guy taught him that email marketing<br />
is hit and miss. It&#8217;s a matter of market-to-message-to-<br />
medium match.  </p>
<p>Even at &#8220;the very top&#8221; this guy sends out mailing some<br />
days that produce a mere trickle of orders, and other<br />
days he hits on just the right combination, and hundreds<br />
of orders flood in.</p>
<p>He tries to be scientific about it but has discovered that<br />
if he keeps making little tweaks, and keeps mailing, that<br />
in the long run, he has a lot of home-runs but even more<br />
singles <img src='http://williecrawford.com/blog2/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':-)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>In that market-to-message match, I believe that the most<br />
critical ingredient is the words that you use to connect<br />
with your audience one-to-one, and that no one has an<br />
advantage over you in that arena, because it&#8217;s an actual<br />
bond/connection &#8220;felt&#8221; between two individuals.</p>

<p>I was recently &#8220;talking shop&#8221; with my good<br />
friend, Daniel Levis, and what he shared<br />
with me was a total surprise&#8230;</p>
<p>He said, &#8220;Lately Willie, on several<br />
occasions, I&#8217;ve been able to more than<br />
double sales conversion on my client&#8217;s<br />
websites by actually removing some of<br />
the product claims from the sales copy.&#8221;</p>
<p>Daniel is a highly paid professional<br />
copywriter. I listen to what he says. But<br />
removing claims, how could that be? It<br />
just didn&#8217;t make any sense at all. </p>
<p>Anybody who knows anything about copywriting<br />
knows that the more legitimate promises<br />
you make in your sales copy the more sales<br />
you should make.  That&#8217;s how you make sure<br />
that you hit all of the buyer&#8217;s hot buttons.</p>
<p>So I questioned him. I said, &#8220;You mean to<br />
tell me you just do a little tweaking on<br />
your client&#8217;s sales copy, deleting benefits<br />
and the result is they make more  sales?&#8221;</p>
<p>And he replied, &#8220;Well no, not exactly. </p>
<p>&#8220;I don&#8217;t really remove the relevant product<br />
claims and promises and benefits from the<br />
sales copy. I just disguise them, so they<br />
don&#8217;t scare people away.</p>
<p>&#8220;You see, you&#8217;re absolutely right Willie.<br />
You do need to make big promises to sell<br />
stuff online.</p>
<p>&#8220;And you have to follow through on those<br />
promises too, if you want to keep selling.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;Trouble is, we live in a world of false<br />
promises and drive-by marketers.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;We&#8217;re surrounded by charlatans<br />
who will promise ANYTHING to make a<br />
sale.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;Haven&#8217;t you ever bought something<br />
and when you got it home or downloaded<br />
it onto your hard drive found it to<br />
be a mere shadow of what you&#8217;d been<br />
promised?&#8221;</p>
<p>I had to embarrassingly admit that I had.</p>
<p>&#8220;Each time that happens&#8221; he<br />
continued, &#8220;you grow a little more<br />
cynical and skeptical. </p>
<p>&#8220;You encounter a marketing piece and<br />
and without even realizing it, up goes a<br />
protective shield of suspicion, isn&#8217;t<br />
that right?&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;Yep.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;Well it&#8217;s the claims, promises and<br />
benefits communicated in the sales copy<br />
that trigger that reaction. They trip<br />
your defenses so to speak, and the sale is<br />
all but lost.&#8221;</p>
<p>At that point Daniel started explaining<br />
how he has been communicating product<br />
claims, promises and benefits in a way<br />
that completely bypasses people&#8217;s<br />
defenses. </p>

<p>Timing, Scarcity, Decisiveness And Money<br />

<p>In my 15 years in business online, few things have been<br />
more critical to my success than timing and decisiveness.</p>
<p>Dozens of times, I&#8217;ve come up with a new product idea,<br />
or been approached with an idea, where its success or<br />
failure was determined primarily by timing.</p>
<p>In a few instances, the market simply wasn&#8217;t ready for the<br />
idea.  Perhaps technology still needed to advance a little<br />
more, and if that idea was &#8220;re-attacked&#8221; six months or a<br />
year later, it was destined to be massively successful.</p>
<p>This was often true of software or video-related projects<br />
that I&#8217;ve worked. Often, something as simple as faster,<br />
cheaper bandwidth was the success catalyst that was needed.</p>
<p>In some instances, delaying meant that a tiny window of<br />
opportunity went away.  I watched this happen for several<br />
people who were contemplating Facebook-related products<br />
that relied upon FBML (Facebook&#8217;s unique HTML markup<br />
language).</p>
<p>Before they could roll out their products, which they<br />
over-thought, Facebook did away with the need for FBML,<br />
opening up their platform for iframed content.</p>
<p>Now, if you visit the Facebook Developers pages you&#8217;ll<br />
see&#8230;</p>
<p>&#8220;We are in the process of deprecating FBML. If you are<br />
building a new application on Facebook.com, please<br />
implement your application using HTML, JavaScript and CSS.&#8221;</p>
<p>In the instance just mentioned, maybe the product would<br />
have been short-lived, since the interface change would<br />
have made the FBML product obsolete, but then again, the<br />
product owner would have a list of people needing to know<br />
how to upgrade.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve also watched far too many people totally bogged<br />
down with the scarcity mindset, and the need to claim to<br />
be the creator of a concept.</p>
<p>Often, dozens if not thousands of people notice a problem<br />
(or an opportunity) at the same time.  </p>
<p>Several people were working on &#8220;inventing&#8221; the automobile<br />
at the same time.</p>
<p>Numerous people were working on inventing a flying machine<br />
at the same time.</p>
<p>Online today, I see numerous people focused on creating<br />
products  that teach you to leverage the Facebook PHENOMENON.</p>
<p>There are over 750 MILLION registered users on Facebook,<br />
and half of them  log in every day.  The number is racing<br />
toward a billion <img src='http://williecrawford.com/blog2/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':-)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>How could any business person afford not to notice this.  </p>
<p>How could anyone who markets online not notice the<br />
opportunity to step in front of the wave.  </p>
<p>The fact is that more people than you can imagine are<br />
stepping in front of this wave, and that it&#8217;s somewhat<br />
futile to even consider &#8220;who first noticed what.&#8221;</p>
<p>Instead, YOU should be focused on how you can tap into<br />
the market. I personally have focused on offering fan<br />
pages and applications to local business owners. I&#8217;ve done<br />
this BECAUSE the average small business owner that I deal<br />
with is going to spend around $300,000 advertising his<br />
business in the next year.  </p>
<p>I simply step in and show him that part of that money can<br />
be more effectively spent on getting noticed where his<br />
customers congregate&#8230; which IS Facebook.  </p>
<p>My friends Ron and Rick Davies, along with their partner<br />
Michael Somerville offer VERY affordable, in-depth<br />

offer to set up 5 fanpages, YouTube channels,etc., FOR YOU.</p>
<p>You see, there are those who want to be shown how, and they<br />
will take that teaching and run with it.  Some will even set<br />
up businesses using that new-gained knowledge.</p>
<p>Others, want to understand the basics but are already too<br />
swamped to do it themselves. They need for Jim&#8217;s team<br />
to do it for them&#8230; something Jim tells me that his team<br />
can get done in about 48-72 hours, with the real &#8220;long<br />

in the form describing what they need.</p>

<p>Check out both of those videos. Each is actually like<br />
taking a community college course, or sitting through a<br />

<p>You will learn a lot, and if you&#8217;re like me, you will find<br />
yourself taking LOTS of notes. </p>
<p>However, taking lots of notes won&#8217;t help you if you don&#8217;t<br />
take action.</p>
<p>Right now, most of your competitors have absolutely no<br />
concept of the power of 95% of what you will learn in<br />
either of those free videos.  </p>
<p>Right now, MILLIONS of business owners are trying to<br />
figure out how to tap into the 750 million sets of eyeball<br />
on Facebook.  Some are putting up fan pages, but 90% of<br />
those are getting it all wrong and so their fan pages aren&#8217;t<br />
effective.</p>
<p>When you do a fan page correctly, it can:</p>
<p>- Get people to join the fan page so that you can update<br />
them on what&#8217;s going on in your business.</p>
<p>- Get them to share the fact that they like your fan page<br />
so that all of their followers can notice this in their<br />
feeds.</p>
<p>- Get them to give permission to be automatically added<br />
to your email autoresponder.  What&#8217;s important here is that<br />
they will join your list using their BEST email address&#8230;<br />
the one that they used to register at Facebook.</p>
<p>- Get them to automatically register for one of your<br />
webinars.</p>
<p>- Get them to automatically confirm that they are attending<br />
one of your Facebook events.</p>
<p>- Get them to give you permission to collect the data that<br />
they share on Facebook. You can literally pull down their<br />
data to your database where you can later analyze it, meaning<br />
you&#8217;ll have a ton of customer/subscriber demographics.</p>
<p>- Send regular updates directly to their Facebook in-boxes.</p>
<p>- Invite up to 5000 people in your database to join your<br />
fan page&#8230; using Facebook&#8217;s infrastructure to invite them.</p>
<p>You can do all this and 50 times more WHEN you put in a<br />
little time learning exactly how Facebook works, and what<br />
all you are allowed to do there.</p>
<p>Can you see the power in this.</p>
<p>All of the things that I mentioned above are permission<br />
based, but that permission is granted just by the Facebook<br />
user clicking a button agreeing to grant you the requested<br />
permissions.  If you offer something that they want, then<br />
there is no real reason for them NOT to do this.</p>
<p>Ok, I&#8217;ve gotten a little long-winded, but it&#8217;s because I<br />
want you to understand the REAL POWER available to you on<br />
the Facebook platform.  There&#8217;s nothing even close to it<br />
on the internet!</p>

blogging platform in use today.  Many people (including<br />
myself) routinely set up &#8220;sites&#8221; on the WordPress<br />
platform because it is so flexible and has so many<br />
plug-ins available.</p>
<p>Most people have NO idea how to back up those sites,<br />
relying instead upon their webhost to maintain<br />
backups.  </p>
<p>Most web hosts do maintain backups but they are<br />
typically on the same server, meaning, if the server<br />
is unavailable, then you can&#8217;t access your backups<br />
either.  </p>
<p>A MUCH BETTER option is to maintain your own<br />
backupS, and store them &#8220;off-site.&#8221;  My preference is<br />
to regularly backup my sites to Amazon S3<br />
servers.  It&#8217;s extremely inexpensive, and if you<br />
ever need the backups they are readily available.</p>
<p>If your websites ever go down at your host, you could<br />
simply find alternative hosting, upload the files to<br />
the new host, repoint the DNS at your registrar and<br />
have your sites back online in no time.</p>
<p>On this webinar, we&#8217;ll show you exactly how to do<br />

<p>Many people with WordPress blogs also have those<br />
blogs configured EXACTLY as they would like to<br />
configure numerous other sites. They have all of<br />

to view your most important websites only to discover<br />
that they&#8217;re GONE?</p>
<p>Maybe a hacker erased them.</p>
<p>Maybe one of your virtual assistants accidentally<br />
erased them.</p>
<p>Maybe a former disgruntle employee intentionally<br />
erased them.</p>
<p>Maybe you inadvertently over-wrote them during that<br />
last FTP upload.</p>
<p>It doesn&#8217;t matter why your sites are gone, the moment<br />
that you notice, you&#8217;re going to panic!</p>
<p>You&#8217;ll get that feeling in the pit of your stomach.</p>
<p>As someone who owns a web hosting company, I can<br />
tell you that your web host probably has backup<br />
copies of your site, but those backups may not have<br />
your very latest changes (depending upon the<br />
backup schedule).</p>
<p>Those backup may not have the most recent database<br />
entries, depending upon the backup cycle.</p>
<p>LISTEN, insuring that you do have the very latest<br />
backup copies of your site, and that you have them<br />
in a safe place is critical!</p>
<p>If the server that your site is on crashes, it may not<br />
be much help to have the backups on the same server.  </p>
<p>You really should have the backup files some place<br />
else&#8230; like maybe on Amazon&#8217;s S3 servers.</p>
<p>You need to backup all of your most important sites<br />
regularly&#8230; ideally you want to do this automatically<br />
so that you won&#8217;t forget, or get too busy.</p>
<p>I personally have been testing an automated<br />
backup solution that my friend Ken Sar had developed.</p>
<p>The software is simple to install, works beautifully,<br />
and automatically backs up my key sites, storing the<br />
backups on my Amazon S3 account.</p>
<p>Prior to Ken&#8217;s software I tested a dozen others. One<br />
solution EMAILED copies of my most important files<br />
to me every day. That just filled up my email box,<br />
and the files were very unorganized.</p>
<p>Now, I store them on my S3 Account, in a very<br />
organized fashion, deleting the ones that I no longer<br />
need.</p>
<p>I can&#8217;t over-emphasize how CRITICAL this is&#8230;<br />
and that you want your backups &#8220;off site&#8221; and<br />
organized so that you can quickly get to them.</p>
<p>Suppose that your web host&#8217;s data center is hit by an<br />
earthquake, flood or other natural disaster. You want<br />
to  minimize the chances of your backups being in the<br />
same location, so that you can quickly restore your<br />
sites.</p>
<p>I think that you get the picture of how important I<br />
think that this is.  I&#8217;ve been building a web business<br />
since 1996, and consider it crazy to put in thousands<br />
of hours and to NOT regular backup your work. </p>
<p>Anyway, I mentioned my friend Ken earlier. He&#8217;s<br />
currently running a Warrior Special Offer where he&#8217;s<br />
offering the exact same software that I own&#8230; at an<br />
insane price!  That&#8217;s what WSO&#8217;s are all about though<br />
&#8230; offering a great product at a fraction of its<br />
market value.</p>
<p>I don&#8217;t know how long Ken will leave his WSO up<br />

software and use it on ALL of your WordPress websites<br />
and blogs. It&#8217;s really, really inexpensive insurance<br />
against a disaster.  </p>

small additional step.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Here are some of the more common questions that I get asked<br />
by people wanting to hire me as a Joint Venture broker.  </p>
<p>1) What do you do?</p>
<p>I review your product, your product launch plan, and your<br />
sales funnel, identifying any weaknesses. Then I identify,<br />
contact and recruit ideal joint venture partners for you.</p>
<p>I follow up with some of these potential JV partners<br />
numerous times in person, by phone, via snail mail, via<br />
email, via Skype, on Facebook, Twitter, Linked In, and<br />
via any other channel that makes sense. </p>
<p>2) How much do you charge?</p>
<p>I typically charge 10% of the gross sales made by all JV<br />
partners that I recruit, plus a $10,000 upfront fee. If<br />
you have all of the pieces of you process in place, the<br />
amount of the upfront fee is negotiable.</p>
<p>3) Do I get to deduct the upfront fee, from your commissions?</p>
<p>No, think of it more as a consulting fee.  I prevent problems<br />
that I&#8217;ve seen happen with dozens of failed launches over<br />
my 15+ year internet marketing career. I&#8217;ve been allowed<br />
to watch numerous launches from behind the scenes.</p>
<p>It covers some of my overhead expenses and is to an extent<br />
what separate me from most people merely recruiting a second<br />
tier.  Most of those people will invest very little time and<br />
energy into your launch.</p>
<p>4) Can I partner with you instead of paying the upfront fee?</p>
<p>Probably not, but everything is negotiable.  I already have<br />
lots of partnerships, and am not really seeking more.</p>
<p>In a few very rare instances, I am willing to partner with you<br />
but it&#8217;s typically cheaper just to hire me.</p>
<p>5) How much lead time do you require?</p>
<p>4-6  weeks from when you first contact me provided the<br />
product is 90% complete. </p>
<p>6) Is the upfront fee  waiveble?</p>
<p>No.</p>
<p>7) Do you require exclusivity?</p>
<p>Yes. If I am going to devote my time and other resources to<br />
your project, then I don&#8217;t want to compete with others that<br />
you hired to do the same thing. You&#8217;re usually better off<br />
going with one JV broker who goes all-out for you than many<br />
who are less incentivized. </p>
<p> <img src='http://williecrawford.com/blog2/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_cool.gif' alt='8)' class='wp-smiley' /> When do you get paid?</p>
<p>As stipulated in the contract.  If it&#8217;s a Clickbank product,<br />
Clickbank can arrange the payments directly, and that is<br />
preferred.</p>
<p>9) Do you require a contract?</p>
<p>Yes. Otherwise there is too much room for misunderstandings.<br />
I have numerous contracts that we can start with, massage<br />
as necessary, and then get signed copies to both parties.</p>
<p>10) When does the agreement end?</p>
<p>That&#8217;s negotiable.  </p>
<p>11) How many JV partners can you get for me?</p>
<p>That depends upon the niche and how many ideal joint venture<br />
partners there are in the niche. I look for centers of<br />
influence, thought leaders and places where people gather<br />
in the niche (approaching parties located via that method).</p>
<p>I also use the search engines, software, and face-to-face<br />
gatherings, but I can&#8217;t guarantee any number of JV partners.</p>
<p>The actual number of JV partners is less relevant that the<br />
number who will actually promote and the number who can<br />
actually produce sales.</p>
<p>12) How many sales can I expect to make?</p>
<p>That depends upon market demand, but I don&#8217;t usually take<br />
on project unless my analysis tells me that they have at least<br />
a $400k potential.  I prefer projects that have a demonstrated<br />
probability of making in excess of $1 million in gross sales.</p>
<p>For smaller projects, with proven potential to make<br />
substantial sales, I can refer you to other joint venture<br />
brokers that have proven themselves capable.</p>
<p>13) What are your typical results?</p>
<p>There are no typical results.  I&#8217;ve recently worked<br />
on projects with forecast earning of $300,000 to<br />
$400,000,0000. </p>
<p>14) Do you help with copywriting, website design, or emails?</p>
<p>No, but I have worked closely with copywriters, programmers<br />
graphic artists, webmasters, etc. and can make recommendations.</p>
<p>15) Do you manage JV partners?</p>
<p>Not typically.  I ensure that a system is in place that makes<br />
the JV&#8217;s job of promoting extremely easy. However, I don&#8217;t<br />
typically  manage them once the launch has started.</p>
<p>16) How do I know if my pricing is right?</p>
<p>We do a market analysis and also look at where you want to<br />
position your product in the marketplace based upon numerous<br />
factors including your branding and name recognition.</p>
<p>17) How do you know if there are other launches at the same<br />
time targeting the same niche or the same JV partners?</p>
<p>I monitor numerous JV networks, am a member of numerous<br />
private sites, and get advance notice of numerous launches.</p>
<p>18) What special qualifications do you have?</p>
<p>I have been selling affiliate products since 1996, have been<br />
launching and selling my own products since 2000, and have<br />
been brokering joint ventures since 2004.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve studied under or worked with numerous others who<br />
brokered joint ventures, or done major product launches.  </p>
<p>I&#8217;ve probably studied close to 100 product launches in-depth.</p>
<p>I own and have gone through most of the more popular<br />
course on product launches and affiliate management.</p>
<p>19) What if I want to do my own copywriting, design,<br />
programming, etc.?</p>
<p>Unless you have a proven track record, you probably need a<br />
different joint venture broker.  Poor copywriting is what<br />
kills many launches, preventing them from ever gaining any<br />
momentum since potential JV&#8217;s look at the copy and know that<br />
it won&#8217;t convert based upon their experience.</p>
<p>20) Do I need to run a prize contest?</p>
<p>They tend to add excitement to the launch but are not<br />
absolutely required. They do tend to bring the competitive<br />
JV partners on-board many launches.</p>
<p>21) How do I know that affiliates will actually follow through?</p>
<p>You don&#8217;t but if you give them enough lead time to plan a<br />
proper campaign, and you provide them with copy that converts,<br />
and with tools that they know work with their subscribers,<br />
then there is no reason for them not to follow through.</p>
<p>Many don&#8217;t follow through simply because the product owner<br />
doesn&#8217;t get his act together far enough in advance. Many affiliates<br />
(myself included) insist upon a copy of the final version of<br />
the product far enough in advance to actually have time to go<br />
through the product.  We believe that to promote a product<br />
otherwise violates a trust that our subscribers have with us.</p>
<p>22) What if I already know most people in my industry?</p>
<p>We can discuss it, but if you can already contact most of the<br />
people in your industry and recruit them as affiliates, then<br />
you probably DON&#8217;T need my services.</p>
<p>23) Do you specialize in Clickbank launches?</p>
<p>No, I can do product launches on a variety of platforms and<br />
in a variety of niches.  I am VERY familiar with Clickbank<br />
and communicate with them frequently. </p>
<p>24) Do you require that I be on a certain affiliate management<br />

works and that the person offering the product has the<br />

most important ingredient in a successful launch. They<br />
often really ARE the product.</p>

<p>Fairly limited.  I often book brokering jobs 3-4 months<br />
in advance. However, there is no harm in asking.  I do<br />
only take on a limited number of JV&#8217;s lately so that I<br />
can really focus on individual projects.</p>
<p>I also have plans to do a lot more leisure travel. That<br />
doesn&#8217;t preclude my working on your projects while<br />
traveling, but it may be a factor.</p>

<p>No, many of the joint ventures that I&#8217;m working are<br />
not your &#8220;typical&#8221; internet marketing product launches.</p>
