It’s not quite Christmas here in northwestern
Florida, but the festivities have definitely
started at my house

I’ll end today with a midnight mass, and then
tomorrow will spend time at my youngest daughter’s
house, and at a party hosted by a friend of many,
many years.

It will be a day of relaxing and catching up with
dozens of old friends who, like me, focus mostly
on the relationships… and very little on the
presents.

Actually, their friendship is one of the greatest
gifts in my life! So is the true friendship of the
many people that I’ve met via the internet over the
past 16 years.

Let me share the actual email with you, then I’ll
share the lessons.

Now the lessons:

1) I noticed the email first because the “From” field
contained a trusted friend’s name.

2) The “Subject” line promising a great photo nudged
me further to open it. Hint: A promise of new
photos of kids or pets works beautifully.

3) It made me smile, causing me to want to pass
it on.

You see, Mark is an expert marketer who totally
gets great copywriting, human psychology, and
building great relationships.

That also gave me a segue to share with you how I
expect to sell THOUSANDS of copies of my simple
soul food cookbook in the next 3 weeks, and how
you can do the same with a similarly appropriate
product.

In fact, I have absolutely no doubt that each of
the next three weeks will be six-figure weeks

I wrote my cookbook back in 2000, and it has
been a steady seller ever since. That proves that
you don’t need a breakthrough new product to do
well selling things online.

You DO need a product that lots of people want,
and you need a way to let them know about it, and
you need to be able to communicate with them
effectively.

I probably learned some of the things I understand
on each of those aspect directly from watching
Mark over the years.

At the same time, I do watch what is working best
in my marketing very closely, and I notice changes.

One of the things that has changed the most in
the past year is that far more people are now
accessing the web via mobile devices (iPhones,
iPads, Androids, tablets, etc) than are accessing
the internet via regular computers.

I’ve seen statistics telling me that five times
as many people access the internet via their
mobile devices as do with a computer.

Those same people do BUY right over their mobile
devices… a lot of them

That told me that my customers for my cookbook are
MOSTLY not on computers, and that if I don’t reach
out to them, then I’m PREVENTING 85% of my potential
sales.

Since I know that most of my competitors are facing
the same problem, it also showed me an EASY way to
gain a competitive advantage.

I simply had a mobile app developed that let people
access my website (and buy my products) right over
their mobile devices.

I had apps developed for the iPhone, iPad, Android,
and HTML5 compatible devices. That lets people on
practically ANY smart device access and interact
with my website without ever going online.

Now, millions of people can pull up my website while
in the kitchen and look up a recipe, or request one
from others who have my apps installed, or read
my latest blog posts, or watch a cooking video
posted on my YouTube channel, or visit Facebook,
Twitter, and numerous other places right from online.

This all sounds high tech, but it cost me less than
$500 to open the door to hundreds of millions of
potential users.

Another HUGE benefit of my apps is the ability to
send “push notifications.” I can, at any time, log
into a control panel, compose a short message, and
send it to EVERYONE who has my apps installed. In
seconds, MILLIONS of people could potentially be
getting a popup message on their phones (one that
almost 100% of people can’t resist responding to).

Naturally, I don’t want to abuse that functionality,
or people will just uninstall the app. However, it
does let me send appropriate, very effective
messages to my ideal customers at will.

Those messages get delivered, and then get read!

Lately, I’ve noticed a lot of people on discussion forums
asking HOW they can generate some quick cash. They are
usually in a bind, and need the dough FAST.

On some forums, we see this question asked so often that
the moderators set up one SUPER thread where people are
encouraged to answer that question.

Answers range from “sell a service that you can perform,”
to “offer some of your unneeded stuff on Ebay,” to “create
a quick product, and launch it via a Warrior Special
Offer or other method.”

I’m personally a big fan of the last method as I’m a
prolific product creator. I also like the idea of a
Warrior Special Offer because you don’t need to have a
large list, or even a lot of name recognition.

To have a winning Warrior Special Offer, the biggest thing
that you need is a product offering a great solution to a
pressing problem that a lot of Warriors care about…
and you need to offer it dirt cheap

My last WSO was for a recording on how I built a list of
over 1 million subscribers and am working on my second
million.

Since every webmaster in the word wants traffic, and a list
equals easy repeat traffic, that WSO is a real no-brainer…
and a hit. That WSO had just over 14,000 views when I last
checked

Realizing that not everyone is as proficient at product
creation as I am…. if I needed some quick revenue, one of
the fastest, easiest ways that I’ve discovered to do it is
to offer private label rights to hot products.

That’s a package that I personally paid $9.97 for, and it
gave me the rights to do ANYTHING that I wanted with 89
private label rights ebook products.

Yes, 89 products, with private label rights for under $10. It
was an easy decision for me to decide to buy it

The most obvious and easiest thing to do was to turn around
and resell the package as-is… which I did. The URL above
shows how I set that up.

Rather than testing different prices… or anything, I
acknowledged that the basic page, as-is, sold ME. Therefore,
others like me would find the offer attractive.

So, I merely inserted my order link, and also changed one of
the bonuses to point to one of my pet projects (instruction
on how to get published on Amazon Kindle). That bonus struck
me as more appropriate than the one in the original package.

I offered this to a small segment of my email list and the
orders came flooding in within minutes.

An INSANE number of orders came flooding in within an hour

Then, I wondered what I would do if I didn’t have a list?

My answer is that I would promote via social media, and by
using articles So, I posted to my Facebook wall, and
scheduled several tweets. I also posted on Sokule. All three
of these efforts produced IMMEDIATE orders. In fact, my
order from just the social media posts were over $300 in the
first 2 hours

Why did this work so effectively for me?

1) I understand article marketing. I’ve written over 2400
articles over the past 10 or so years, and I just know what
works.

What works in article marketing is to have a benefit-filled
title, discuss a pressing problem (offering a proven solution)
and then telling your readers how to tap into that solution.

Tim gives you an excellent blueprint that shows that article
marketing is DEFINITELY not dead. He taught me a thing
or two about a topic that I thought I had already mastered!

2) I offered a product that I was 95% sure that the market
would go crazy over.

How did I know that the market would love this private label
rights product? I knew that it would because I DID. I’m
not even the ideal customer that the product is aimed at,
and I went crazy over it.

The product is 89 ebooks with unrestricted private label rights.
To me, that meant that I had 89 rough drafts that I could VERY
easily revise/edit, rename, have new ecovers created for, and
roll out as my own original products.

YES, unrestricted private label rights also meant that I could
roll those products out as-is, just putting my name on them and
I’d make sales from that, but that’s not what I do, and it’s not
what I teach you to do.

If you get a nice PLR package like that, first of all feel free
to just resell the entire thing like I did.

Don’t worry, there are hundreds of thousands of potential buyers,
and 98% of them will do absolutely nothing with the package after
they download it. So, you don’t have to worry about “market
saturation.”

If you just blog about it, you should be able to generate dozens
of sales… but most people won’t even do that.

As the title indicated, I took that $9.97 product and turned it
into several hundred dollars right away, and it has already
surpassed $1000

I could have easily marked that pack up to $27 – $47, and
offered it to a more appropriate audience, and made lots of
sales. I guess I was being slightly lazy.

I DO plan on taking some of those titles, using them as rough
drafts for my OWN new “original” ebooks, and I have absolutely
no doubt that some of those will earn me many thousands of
dollars.

It really IS that easy.

I’m not as lazy as many internet marketer portray themselves…
I did say that I was going to rework the PLR… but still 90%
of the work or research has already been done for me.

Let me close with just one more lesson that I don’t want you to
miss.

That lesson is that “money loves speed.” You’ll notice that I
didn’t buy that PLR package and “plan to release it soon.”

No, I bought it, uploaded the downloaded zip files to my server,
created a buy now button in Paypal, edited the sales page and
download page (linking to the zip files on my server), and had
the product up for sale within ONE HOUR of purchasing it!

I also had recouped my $9.97 within 10 minutes of sending the
page live. You gotta love Twitter and Facebook

Anyway, that’s how I do it, time-after-time, and you can too.

Here then are 10 tips for using social media to drive traffic to
your sites…

1. Complete your profile.

When you first open your Twitter, Facebook, Squidoo or other
social media site account, fill out your profile (including a
picture). Doing so makes it easier for people to get to know you
and build relationships with you, which will make it more likely
they’ll click through to your site.

2. Interact.

Social sites are, by definition, social. They’re two way streets
(not monologues). That’s why you shouldn’t just post content and
move on. Instead, spend a few minutes each day interacting and
getting to know people in your network.

3. Include a link to your site on your profile page.

This tip is simple but effective: Give people a reason to click
through from the social media site to your blog or squeeze page.
A promise of a free solution usually makes for a good enticement.

4. Ask your followers to “retweet” and repost.

If you create a “buzzworthy” post (such as a post on a hot or
even controversial niche topic), as your Twitter followers to
“retweet” it and ask your other social media networks to repost
it.

5. Spend time each day growing your network.

Commit to spending at least 10 minutes each day growing your
network. You’ll see big results by the end of the month. And
you’ll be amazed at the size of your network in six months or a
year from now.

6. Link your social site pages together.

Link your Twitter account to your Facebook, MySpace, Squidoo,
HubPages and other social media pages. And vice versa.

7. Use your real name so that you’re easy to find.

People who want to do business with you won’t respond well to
working with “BaseballBoy72.” Instead, build trust by using your
real name. Doing so also makes it easier for others to find you
on Facebook and similar sites.

8. Post good content.

Social media is not just about networking, it’s also about
sharing information. If you share some of your best information
with your network, you’ll get respect, trust… and more sales.
Plus you’ll establish yourself as a niche expert.

9. Optimize some of your content.

Some social sites (such as Yahoo! Answers and Squidoo) get
crawled and indexed regularly by the search engines. As such, you
may consider optimizing some of your content for the search
engines by including relevant (longtail) keywords two or three
times for every 100 words of content.

10. Get the most benefit for your time.

Instead of trying to interact and build relationships with
thousands of prospects, consider building a relationship with a
handful of partners. That’s because just one good partner can
send you hundreds or thousands of prospects and customers.

In summary: Social media is only expected to grow in the future –
and now is the best time to get involved if you’d like to grow
your business right along with it. You can start today by
applying the ten traffic-generating, relationship-building tips
you just discovered!
