Internet Marketing On A Shoestring Budget - Part 1

The current economic recession is causing many people
starting online businesses to make some tough decisions.
Often these are also BAD decisions.

During tough times, businesses traditionally cut the
one expense that they often DON’T need to cut… which
is advertising. Instead you just need to spend wiser,
and you will gain market-share BECAUSE your competitors
are cutting back.

Still, many online marketers today are looking for ways to
grow their businesses on a shoestring budget.

One of the most obvious ways is to go out and find things that
you need for your business that you can get for free.

For example, unless you’ve lived under a rock for the past
year, it’s difficult not to notice all of the free
cooperative list-building giveaways being organized by
internet marketers.

Sometimes, hundreds of marketers come together and each
contributes one (or several) free items. They list all of
their items on one central website, but usually require you
to visit the individual contributors’ sites to download each
item.

The gift contributors are willing to do this because it’s
a proven effective way to build their subscriber lists.

You can find free:

- Ebooks and courses
- MP3 audios
- Videos
- Access to membership sites
- Advertising credits
- Resale Rights Products that will readily sell
- Private Label Rights Products that you can rework and
turn into best-sellers
- Software that allows you to operate your business more
efficiently and effectively.
- A tons of other free items…

There is one BIG problem with free stuff though… you often
get what you pay for. Sifting though all of the freebies to
find the gems is often more trouble than it’s worth.

It does take time to examine this stuff and determine
whether or not it’s worthwhile to download. We sometimes
get back to the question my older relatives use to ask me…
“Do you have more time or money?”

Today, time is my most limited resource, but I realize that
is not the case for everyone. So, if you have lots of free
time, it IS worthwhile to visit these free giveaway sites
and look for tools to grow your business on a shoestring
budget.

If you DON’T have a lot of free time, but still want to take
advantage of the free giveaways, there is a solution.

That solution is to trust the recommendations of an ezine
publisher or marketer who has EARNED your trust by making
only “solid” recommendations. Check out the free giveaways
that they recommend.

I actually feel like I fall in that category :-)

8 Steps to a Profitable Teleconference

teleseminars are likely one of the most effective methods for
promoting a product or service, building an opt-in subscriber
list, increas credibility amd establish your expert status.

However, to achieve optimum results you must have your systems
in place. It takes more than simply hosting a call to make this
work.

Countless individuals have attempted teleseminars as a route to
business success, yet failed miserably when they have attempted
to make money from teleconferences. Often it is because they
have not been trained in how to position the call, create enough
of a market demand for what they are selling, there is no call
to action, nor do they have a solid follow-up plan.

With the right vision, planning and action steps, you can do
extremely well with teleconferences. Here are a few of the steps
involved in successful teleseminars.

1. Decide on the purpose and topic of the call. Is it to inform,
educate, motivate, inspire or promote?

A simple way to determine the topic (and purpose) of the call is
to address a problem your market needs a solution to. Ask your
market using an online survey or even by sending a fax or letter
to a portion of your market to receive great input.

2. Pick a suitable date and time based on your market. For some
markets, daytime works best. For others, evenings. Find a time
that works best for your audience.

3. Secure a bridge line. A bridge line enables callers to dial a
single phone number and hear each other as if they were in the
same room. There are numerous services available ranging from
free to very high fee. I use Instant Teleseminars for my primary
service.

4. Market the session. How you do this will be determined on
whether or not the call is open to the public or only a select
group of your current clients are invited.

5. Host the call.

6. Develop support materials. You may want to consider providing
a handout or learning guide for the call. This allows listeners
to easily follow along, write down points that are especially
important to them and refer back to the notes long after the
call is over.

Additionally, you can use the learning guide as a promotion
piece for other products and services you have available.

7. Record the session. There are software programs available
that allow you to record from your phone and computer. Some
experts prefer this method while others prefer to outsource all
the recording, editing and distribution of the audio file and
call transcripts.

8. Follow-up. After the call you should have a definite plan of
when and how you will follow-up with those who were on the call
and those who were unable to make it. If you are selling a
product or service, sales are often made hours, or even days,
after the call is over.
