Internet Marketing On A Shoestring Budget - Part 1

The current economic recession is causing many people
starting online businesses to make some tough decisions.
Often these are also BAD decisions.

During tough times, businesses traditionally cut the
one expense that they often DON’T need to cut… which
is advertising. Instead you just need to spend wiser,
and you will gain market-share BECAUSE your competitors
are cutting back.

Still, many online marketers today are looking for ways to
grow their businesses on a shoestring budget.

One of the most obvious ways is to go out and find things that
you need for your business that you can get for free.

For example, unless you’ve lived under a rock for the past
year, it’s difficult not to notice all of the free
cooperative list-building giveaways being organized by
internet marketers.

Sometimes, hundreds of marketers come together and each
contributes one (or several) free items. They list all of
their items on one central website, but usually require you
to visit the individual contributors’ sites to download each
item.

The gift contributors are willing to do this because it’s
a proven effective way to build their subscriber lists.

You can find free:

- Ebooks and courses
- MP3 audios
- Videos
- Access to membership sites
- Advertising credits
- Resale Rights Products that will readily sell
- Private Label Rights Products that you can rework and
turn into best-sellers
- Software that allows you to operate your business more
efficiently and effectively.
- A tons of other free items…

There is one BIG problem with free stuff though… you often
get what you pay for. Sifting though all of the freebies to
find the gems is often more trouble than it’s worth.

It does take time to examine this stuff and determine
whether or not it’s worthwhile to download. We sometimes
get back to the question my older relatives use to ask me…
“Do you have more time or money?”

Today, time is my most limited resource, but I realize that
is not the case for everyone. So, if you have lots of free
time, it IS worthwhile to visit these free giveaway sites
and look for tools to grow your business on a shoestring
budget.

If you DON’T have a lot of free time, but still want to take
advantage of the free giveaways, there is a solution.

That solution is to trust the recommendations of an ezine
publisher or marketer who has EARNED your trust by making
only “solid” recommendations. Check out the free giveaways
that they recommend.

I actually feel like I fall in that category :-)

Hidden Methods That I Use To Sell More Big Ticket Items - Free Report

If you’re an author, speaker, coach or consultant, it’s likely
you know how important it is to market your products and
services. The challenge for many professionals is not only what
to do, but how to do it. Additionally, knowing what is a wise
investment in their marketing and what is not.

Take authors; Countless numbers of authors have the dream of
selling lots of books, becoming well known (and even reaching
celebrity status), and making their fortune through their craft.
Yet, most will not succeed due to lack of how to develop and
implement an effective publicity plan. It takes more, much more,
than a well-written manuscript to succeed as an author, at least
if you want to make money through your writing.

You Have To Gain Visibility
Successful authors understand how essential it is to gain
visibility within their market; visibility that equates to more
readers, more books sales, more market reach; and ultimately
more revenue.

One of the most common beliefs uninformed authors have of how to
gain market visibility is through paid advertising. The fact is,
most book advertising does not work. Besides most authors don’t
have huge budgets for paid advertising campaigns.

Yet, many waste untold amounts of money on ad campaigns that
don’t get them a result that justifies the expense of paid
advertising. Still others do nothing at all to gain visibility
and promote their books.

Why Readers Buy Your Books
The majority of readers buy books based on word of mouth
advertising; the title of a book and if they feel like they know
the author.

There are a number of ways to have your name and books become
more familiar to your market. You can be a guest on radio shows
(both online and off), blog tours and teleseminars/">teleseminars.

There are plenty of opportunities to do all three, but many
authors either don’t know where to begin or are afraid of
rejection, so do nothing to promote themselves.

Get the Right Information
As a publicity expert who works with authors who want to use the
Internet in their overall marketing, it pains me to think of how
many authors could succeed if they were armed with insider
information on how to get lots of publicity for their books.

The amazing thing is that a lot of publicity is free. It’s
actually easier than most people realize to gain free publicity
– and lots of it.

In many cases all it takes to gain thousands, tens of thousands
and even hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of FREE
publicity is a commitment and a very focused plan.

A method I have been using for years is teleseminars. Not only

hosted many of my own. Usually the teleseminars are free to the
listeners, but if done right I make thousands, even tens of
thousands of dollars, in back-end sales from a free teleseminar.
I have sold everything from my books, training courses,

services as well as sell on the backend. By far, teleseminars
are one of the greatest tools available to accomplish both.

Unfortunately, many people set about to launch a teleseminar
without a solid plan in place. One of the first considerations
(beyond who your market is) would be to determine what type of
teleseminar to offer.

Many experts prefer a preview call as a way to introduce paid

A preview call is just what it sounds like. People get a taste

a content driven call and a plan on what you will be selling on
the backend.

Regardless of the type of teleseminar you host or participate
in, many of the steps to create and develop one will be similar.
However, how you promote a session is determined by whether it
