			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I recently received an email from my good friend Terry Dean,<br />
someone I&#8217;ve know since around 2003.  Terry&#8217;s email shared<br />
that he was getting $4.68 per unique click from promoting<br />
one affiliate product.</p>

<p>That product was one that I helped my online accountability<br />
partner to launch, several years ago <img src='http://williecrawford.com/blog2/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':-)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>It caused me to go back and look over my own numbers, and<br />
based upon what I discovered, this is the ONLY affiliate<br />
program that I can say has paid me commissions, consistently<br />
for 3-4 years now.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s significant!</p>
<p>David Perdew, who set it all up, often talks about &#8220;one<br />
and done&#8221; product launches. Those are the types of launches<br />
where you do one or two promotions for a product and then<br />
it&#8217;s pulled off the market. </p>

<p>I don&#8217;t know about you, but I personally DISLIKE those<br />
types of promotion for two reasons:</p>
<p>1) It means that as an affiliate marketers, even if I am<br />
successful at selling my customers that products, I need<br />
to look for something else to sell them a week later. The<br />
big DISCONNECT there is that that means I can&#8217;t really<br />
even give them time to benefit from what I just sold them<br />
before I&#8217;m suggesting that they buy something else. </p>
<p>I honestly don&#8217;t think that&#8217;s fair to my subscribers who<br />
would really benefit from that first product IF they would<br />
just take the time to go through it and actually APPLY what<br />
it teaches. I shouldn&#8217;t be distracting them from being able<br />
to do that.</p>
<p>2)  With many promotions that we do, our subscribers may<br />
not even get around to reading an email, or being ready<br />
to buy, until a week or more later.  With the one-and-done<br />
promotions, by the time they are ready to focus on the offer,<br />
it&#8217;s too late.</p>
<p>So, we waste all that effort. Those are two reasons that<br />
I&#8217;m focused on the product that Terry recommends. It&#8217;s<br />
something that you can honestly promote today, and earn<br />
commissions on a year or more later.</p>
<p>David actually &#8220;tags&#8221; your referrals in his database in a<br />
way that you earn LIFETIME commissions&#8230; and you get credit<br />
even if they delete their cookies because his affiliate<br />
tracking system does not depend upon cookies.</p>
<p>The &#8220;creame de le cream&#8221; of David&#8217;s products is his<br />
Niche Affiliate Marketing System Workshop, which is THE<br />
very best internet marketing workshop that I have ever<br />
personally attended.</p>

and take a hard look at my numbers&#8230; edited slightly so that<br />

or they&#8217;ll have their affiliates compete with each other to be<br />
the top of the scoreboard.</p>
<p>Nothing wrong with any of that.</p>
<p>But when it comes down to it, it&#8217;s about the numbers.</p>
<p>And it&#8217;s also about delivering value to the customers.</p>
<p>This morning I was running through some of my affiliate<br />
accounts.</p>
<p>And I took notice of an affiliate program that I haven&#8217;t given<br />
much attention to, but sends me money through Paypal every single<br />
month.</p>
<p>I promoted them in September 2011, so less than a year ago.</p>
<p>And did some other minor mentions of them, but haven&#8217;t done<br />

<p>When I first started internet marketing, back in 1996,<br />
I was taught to build a list, build relationships with<br />
list members, and then sell them solutions to their<br />
most-pressing problems.</p>
<p>That is an excellent business model if you actually<br />
take the time to do that, and use the proper tools so<br />
that the process doesn&#8217;t become overwhelming. </p>
<p>Most email marketers understand the process to be:</p>
<p>1) You set up an autoresponder.</p>
<p>2) You offer an ethical bribe (a gift) to get them to<br />
join your opt-in list.</p>
<p>3) You give them the gift and then follow-up via<br />
autoresponder with related information, tips, and<br />
product offers.</p>
<p>4) You post your opt-in form and offer in as many places<br />
as practical.</p>
<p>5) You sit back and collect your fortune, generating a<br />
flood of revenue any time that you want it with the mere<br />
push of a button (sending an email)!</p>
<p>MOST internet marketers discover that it&#8217;s not really<br />
that simple, when they notice that no one is responding<br />
to most of their emails. They&#8217;ve most-likely MISSED the<br />
part about actually building relationships, and providing<br />
genuine value to their readers.</p>
<p>Around 2002, when I attended my first internet marketing<br />
seminar (one that I spoke at), I learned all about joint<br />
ventures. I learned that if you work with, rather than<br />
competing against, others in your industry, everyone<br />
generally does better.</p>
<p>As I learned more and more about joint ventures, I<br />
gradually developed into a joint venture expert, and then<br />
eventually became a joint venture broker. As a JV broker,<br />
I not only made a lot more sales by working with others in<br />
my industry&#8230; I also got paid to orchestrate joint ventures<br />
for others who hadn&#8217;t completely mastered the craft.</p>
<p>Today, a major portion of my income is from coordinating<br />
joint ventures for my own projects/product launches, and<br />
for those of my clients.</p>
<p>The email marketing and the joint venture brokering<br />
became really, REALLY successful when I learned &#8220;the secret.&#8221;</p>
<p>That secret is, you actually need to focus on building fewer,<br />
deeper, real relationships!</p>
<p>You are actually (usually) much better off with a list of 1000<br />
subscribers who consistently look forward to, open, read, and<br />
respond to your emails than you are with a list of 100,000 who<br />
don&#8217;t.</p>
<p>As someone with numerous lists, in numerous niches, I have<br />
learned this lesson via &#8220;the school of hard knocks.&#8221;</p>
<p>I&#8217;m not advocating that you stop growing your list. I AM<br />
advocating that you actually get to know WHO your list<br />
members  are.  Get to know what their biggest  concerns are,<br />
and what they really expect from the  relationship with you<br />
(as a subscriber).</p>
<p>The easiest way to do this is to set very specific expectations<br />
when inviting them onto your list, so that you and your<br />
subscribers understand the relationship right from the very<br />
start.</p>
<p>Later on, if you find that your list has grown unfocused,<br />
and unresponsive, you probably want to conduct a survey<br />
to find out why.  You can use many tools to do that survey,<br />
and my preferred method is via an SMS text message<br />
survey.  The reason that I like that method is that it also lets<br />
me build out my database more completely.</p>
<p>You see, when most of your subscribers joined your list, they<br />
probably only gave you an email address, and a name. Many<br />
of them probably even gave you a set of initials, a made up<br />
name, or if the name field wasn&#8217;t required&#8230; no name at all.</p>
<p>When they first joined your list, they didn&#8217;t know or trust you.<br />
Now that they do, you should ask for more data so that you<br />
can better know WHO your customers are, and how you can<br />
best serve them.</p>
<p>By getting them to complete the SMS text message survey<br />
that I use, you now get them to give you their full name,<br />
email address, niche or interests, phone number, or any<br />
other data that you ask for.</p>
<p>You can build your survey any way that you want to, asking<br />
any question that you want, using the tool that I use<br />
called &#8220;Profile Builder.&#8221;  </p>
<p>You can see the system that I use to survey my subscribers,<br />
and actually take it for a test-drive if you simply send a text<br />
message to:  850-396-0016 (that IS my actual number).  Just<br />
make the subject “Hi Willie.” </p>
<p>I use this very same system to identify and actually get to<br />
know potential joint venture partners. </p>
<p>When you are planning a product launch, it&#8217;s very tempting<br />
to want to recruit as many jv partners (affiliates) as possible.</p>
<p>That is often just a lot of wasted time and effort. </p>
<p>With joint venture partners or affiliates, the 80/20 rule<br />
applies, just as it does with so many other things in life.<br />
Only 20% of those who agree to become your joint venture<br />
partners or affiliates are going to take action, and of  those,<br />
only 20% are going to produce significant results.</p>
<p>What I&#8217;ve discover, as someone who has professionally<br />
brokered joint ventures for others since 2004, is that the<br />
top 5% of your joint venture partners often produce<br />
30 &#8211; 50% of your total results.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve also discovered that that top 5% will often be people<br />
that you actually KNOW. These will be people that you&#8217;ve<br />
taken the time to learn what really makes them tick. You<br />
know their hobbies/interests, favorite foods, favorite<br />
places, what causes they are really passionate about, what<br />
drives them to be in business in the first place!</p>
<p>I get to know people on this level by meeting them at live<br />
seminars and conferences.  There, I sit and talk to them<br />
face-to-face, and I make sure that I get all of their<br />
contact details.</p>
<p>After I get all of their contact details, I make sure that “I”<br />
follow up to continue building the relationship. You see,<br />
95% of people who attend live events, go home, toss the<br />
business cards that they collected into the back of a desk<br />
drawer, and go back to the life they had before the event.<br />
They never follow-up or take any action to continue building<br />
relationships with the nice people that they met and really<br />
liked&#8230; and honestly intended to continue building a<br />
relationship with.</p>
<p>I overcame that very natural tendency by automating parts of<br />
building real relationships. You see, what I now do is ask<br />
them to text me at my number 850-396-0016, and when they<br />
do, they are asked to give me their name, interests/niche,<br />
Skype ID, and any other information that I need to actually<br />
follow-up with them and build real, deeper relationships.</p>
<p>I have different information that I request when they text<br />
me using different &#8220;codewords.&#8221;</p>
<p>When they text me the requested data, it&#8217;s stored securely on<br />
my server in a database where I religiously download the data<br />
and add it to my appropriate relationship management system.</p>
<p>Often, I import the .csv file into my account at Send Out Cards,<br />
another relationship building tool that I have been using since<br />
2004.  Send Out Cards allows me to send real, physical greeting<br />
cards (and gifts) right over the internet. I use this system to<br />
periodically reach out to contacts AND to make sure that I never<br />
forget a birthday. The SOC system sends me a reminder of<br />
birthdays, anniversaries, etc.</p>

<p>On that site:</p>
<p>1) Click on the link labeled &#8220;Join Now&#8221;</p>
<p>2) Click on the link labeled &#8220;Preferred Customer&#8221;</p>
<p>3) Sign up for the $31 per month plan and that will<br />
allow you to send up to 50 greeting cards per month.<br />
Postage is extra&#8230; you pay the actual postage based<br />
upon where you live and if you choose to send gifts with<br />
a given card.</p>
<p>If you don&#8217;t feel that you will use that many cards, you<br />
can sign up for the $10 per month plan, but if you&#8217;re<br />
seriously building your business, you should be following<br />
up like crazy, and will use the $31 worth of cards each month.<br />
They  also rollover, so there is no hurry to use them.</p>
<p>If you study the greatest salesman in the world (according<br />
to the Guinness Book of World Records), Joe Girad, who sold<br />
more cars than anyone in history, I&#8217;ve  just shared his secret<br />
with you. Joe sent his customers greeting cards on a regular<br />
basis, showing them that he actually cared about them, and this<br />
turned them into VERY loyal customers.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s really very simple, you build real relationships by showing<br />
people that you actually want to get to know them, and that you<br />
care about them. </p>
<p>They sense that you really do care, and they like you in return,<br />
and when they need what you have to sell, it&#8217;s  natural for<br />
them to want to buy from a friend.</p>
<p>When you get ready to launch a product, it&#8217;s natural for them<br />
to want to help out a real friend that they also assume would<br />
do the same for them.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s simple isn&#8217;t it?</p>
<p>Using the system that I just showed you, it&#8217;s not only<br />
INCREDIBLY effective, it&#8217;s also very inexpensive. The SMS<br />
texting that I do costs me $1 per month for the dedicated phone<br />
line, and 1 penny per message sent or received.  The data sent<br />
to me via the SMS text messages are actually stored on my site<br />
via a WordPress plug-in that I use.</p>

<p>After just a few years in internet marketing, I became<br />
convinced that selling things that offered recurring<br />
income was the way to go.  You know,  selling products that<br />
you sell once, and then get paid over and over again, for a<br />
LONG time.</p>
<p>Consequently, I became an affiliate for a web hosting company<br />
named Virtualis, and poured a lot of energy into trying to<br />
sell web hosting, where I actually hung out on a discussion<br />
forum frequented by hundreds of other resellers who all<br />
shared tips with each other.  I learned a lot about internet<br />
marketing from that experience, including the fact that<br />
selling a commodity can be fairly challenging.</p>
<p>What I discovered was that if you are going to sell a<br />
commodity, you have to differentiate the product by making<br />
it partly about YOU. The customer buys the product, but they<br />
often buy from the sales person more so than from the company.</p>
<p>I later started selling autoresponders, telecommunications<br />
via an MLM, and a few other products, in the hope of building<br />
that coveted residual income.</p>
<p>I was one of those &#8220;internet marketers&#8221; who was also a<br />
network marketer. So, I sold a few magic juices, but<br />
eventually stopped selling them because I didn&#8217;t really<br />
believe in them, OR because I discovered the generic<br />
versions available cheaper at the local Walmart.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m still in MLM incidentally. I&#8217;m a distributor for<br />
<a href="https://www.sendoutcards.com/biz/74275/">Send Out Cards</a>, a company that lets you send full-color,<br />
real, personalized greeting cards right over the internet,<br />
CHEAPER than you can send comparable, personalized cards<br />
from the local Walmart. I&#8217;ve been with them since 2004, have<br />
built a successful business with them, and will continue<br />
being a distributor,  for the foreseeable future.</p>
<p>At the 2010 <a href="https://www.sendoutcards.com/biz/74275/">Send Out Cards</a> Annual Convention, I listen to<br />
a few people discussing having their distributorships<br />
listed as assets in their WILLS. That&#8217;s when it sank in that I<br />
had actually built a real business, at <a href="https://www.sendoutcards.com/biz/74275/">SOC</a>, that with minimal<br />
effort, will continue to pay me a regular income for the<br />
foreseeable future.</p>
<p>The other residual income that I have actually built is<br />
from a few membership sites.  Membership sites are where<br />
you bring hundreds or even thousands of people together<br />
with a common interest, and they pay a monthly fee for<br />
being a member of the group.</p>
<p>As long as the fee is less than the value that the members<br />
perceive, they will stay, and you will have a dependable<br />
monthly income.</p>
<p>Even a membership site that has only 200 members paying<br />
$20 per month, would be an income of $4000 per month, and<br />
if you didn&#8217;t have to put in many hours or much effort<br />
to maintain that site, you could have a nice little<br />
cash cow.</p>
<p>If you had several of these smaller site (as I do) or<br />
even one super-sized membership site, the monthly income<br />
could be enough for you to literally RETIRE on.</p>
<p>The key there, is to not build a job for yourself.  So you<br />
need to create a site that&#8217;s interactive enough where the<br />
members produce most of the content, grow the site, and<br />
keep each other coming back.  If you can manage that, then<br />
you have created a real asset that you could easily sell<br />
some day, or just hand over to a manager or administrator,<br />
to run for you.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m aware of several membership sites now that the owners<br />
rarely have to touch, but they chug along making the owners<br />
six or seven figures per year. You have to admit, that&#8217;s<br />
really, really nice <img src='http://williecrawford.com/blog2/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':-)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>Aside from having the right niche (an idea that attracts<br />
enough people willing to pay for group membership) you<br />
also need a reliable platform.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve built sites on four or five different platforms over<br />
the years and ALL of them were headaches. The worse ones<br />
were scripts that someone gave me for free, mainly because<br />
when someone gives you a free script, there is no incentive<br />
to keep updating it, or provide any type of customer<br />
support. If you aren&#8217;t selling the script, how can you pay<br />
a tech support team?</p>
<p>The second worse type of scripts were ones where the<br />
developers sold them inexpensively, but weren&#8217;t committed<br />
to continuous updates and support. So, they come out with a<br />
new version every two to three years, but in the meantime,<br />
people using the scripts either had to hire programmers to<br />
patch holes that they discover, or they ran their membership<br />
sites on platforms that they knew was VERY insecure.</p>
<p>As I approach my 53rd birthday, I&#8217;m proud to say that I&#8217;m<br />
actually contemplating retiring from internet marketing&#8230;<br />
and spending more time traveling leisurely.</p>
<p>No, I&#8217;m not thinking of no longer teaching others, but I<br />
AM thinking of handing off the day-to-day operation of<br />
most of my endeavors to virtual employees, project managers,<br />
etc.  </p>
<p><strong>I only plan on doing the things that I enjoy</strong>, to include<br />
dropping in on my membership sites regularly (because I<br />
have a bond with the community members), spending a lot of<br />
time doing family things, <strong>and working on things that I<br />
feel make a real difference in the world</strong>.</p>
<p>I am now moving ALL of my membership sites to the best,<br />
but fairly inexpensive, membership site platform that<br />
I&#8217;ve tested in my 15+ years online. That platform is called<br />

<p>I&#8217;m building my retirement sites on this platform because<br />
I&#8217;ve known the developer of the software for about 4 years,<br />
and have watched Rapid Residual Pro for about two years as<br />
the developer and a TEAM of dedicated programmers and<br />
testers have worked on several versions.  </p>
<p>I now consider it “the cats meow&#8221; and it meets all of my<br />
needs to include allowing me to offer free memberships,<br />
one-time payment options, and recurring payment<br />
memberships. I can also use a variety of payment processors<br />
including Paypal, AlertPay, Clickbank, etc.</p>
<p>What I LOVE about the payment options, by the way, is that<br />
I can set a sales page up with links to SEVERAL of these<br />
options, and when an affiliate sends a visitor to the<br />
site from a specific processor, the visitor is not shown<br />
the other options.</p>
<p>For example, the page COULD be coded for Paypal, AlertPay<br />
and Clickbank, but if the affiliate uses a Paypal link, the<br />
other buttons wouldn&#8217;t show on the page that his referrals<br />
landed on.   That&#8217;s critical to me because otherwise the<br />
affiliate could lose commissions if he didn&#8217;t use the other<br />
processors.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ll use this script to power numerous sites that aren&#8217;t<br />
really considered &#8220;membership sites&#8221; but that need a<br />
&#8220;sales page,&#8221; payment processor, and download page. I&#8217;ll<br />
use it for pages set up just for free giveaways or list<br />
building.  The software is extremely flexible.</p>

<p>Another reason that I went with this platform is that the<br />
software developer is a marketer, a copywriter, and someone<br />
who has run numerous online and offline businesses. So, he<br />

shared with you on YouTube.</p>
<p>Anyway, there you have part of my retirement plan.  If you<br />
aren&#8217;t building a business that you can sell, hand off to<br />
an administrator/manager, or at least scale back on the hours<br />
that you spend running that business, then you&#8217;re actually just<br />
building a JOB for yourself.</p>

I offered to allow customers to watch as I earned $100k,<br />
during the month of January 2012, doing things that I<br />
asserted anyone could do. I offered to send daily email<br />
updates explaining what I did, why I did it, and what the<br />
results were. </p>
<p>20 days into the endeavor (partly in response to questions<br />
and comments on the Warrior Forum), I shared Lesson 20 on<br />
the forum itself. </p>
<p>I also gave affiliates, who  are helping to spread the word<br />
about the WSO, permission to share that sample lesson in<br />
their marketing.</p>
<p>I chose this lesson BECAUSE it allows me to give you a<br />
peek inside the training, without giving it all away.</p>
<p>At the same time, it does provide some valuable<br />
insights that I hope you find useful. </p>

<p>Diary &#8211; $100k In January 2012 &#8211; January 22nd, 2012</p>
<p>Welcome to Day 20&#8230; the day that I arrived home and got to<br />
play with my impatient new grandchild for the first time<br />
(she was born six weeks early)  <img src='http://williecrawford.com/blog2/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':-)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>This issue is heavily-influenced by feedback that I&#8217;m<br />
getting from you guys&#8230; especially your wanting to<br />
see more RESULTS! </p>
<p>Up to this point, most of my efforts have been laying the<br />
groundwork for those results&#8230; for reasons that I&#8217;ll explain<br />
today!</p>
<p>On the airplane on the way home, I actually flowed<br />
out 23 articles in notepad on my iPhone.  My wife<br />
would occasionally glance over at my phone, notice the<br />
smile on my face, and ask what I was doing.</p>
<p>After being home for about two hours, and playing<br />
with the baby most of that time,  I felt the time<br />
pressures, and started turning those notes into articles. </p>
<p>Here&#8217;s the first one that I published:</p>

<p>Pretend Internet Marketing Experts, Dreamers, And Doers<br />

<p>In internet marketing (the niche that I know best)<br />
as well as many other online niches, it&#8217;s often<br />
difficult to tell who the genuine experts are. </p>
<p>That&#8217;s important because it makes it difficult to know<br />
who to take advice from.</p>
<p>The danger is that you will spend months, or even years,<br />
following the advice of someone who either sells you<br />
his theory, or who just makes up something that sounds<br />
plausible, and doesn&#8217;t even care if it&#8217;s accurate&#8230; as<br />
long as it sells.</p>
<p>Yes, there ARE people who will sell you anything and<br />
don&#8217;t care if it works, but I very strongly believe<br />
that they are a tiny minority.</p>
<p>There are also those who believe that you will not<br />
buy their products unless they &#8220;fake it until you<br />
make it.&#8221;  Many of these people may actually have<br />
really good intentions, but since they believe that<br />
they have to pretend to be something that they are<br />
not, they can be a real threat to your success.</p>
<p>The fake it till you make it types often blur the<br />
lines as to what they are actually qualified to teach<br />
you.  Their perceived dilemma is that they feel that<br />
they HAVE TO fake it.  </p>
<p>Several years ago, in an interview, I asked my friend<br />
and mentor, Rich Schefren, how one overcomes this.<br />
Rich explained that it&#8217;s as simple as being your authentic<br />
self.  Identify what you ARE qualified to teach, identify<br />
the audience that does want to learn that, and sell to<br />
them.  </p>
<p>Rich&#8217;s advice really boiled down to merely acknowledging<br />
that your potential audience members are at all different<br />
levels along the learning curve, and you just need to focus<br />
on the ones who need the level of guidance that you are<br />
genuinely qualified to deliver.</p>
<p>The next pretend expert that you need to be aware of<br />
is &#8220;the dreamer&#8221; who understand on a certain level but<br />
have never DONE anything and therefore isn&#8217;t 100%<br />
certain that what they offer to teach you WORKS. They&#8217;ve<br />
STUDIED  a lot, but they haven&#8217;t physically verified<br />
what they believe to be true.</p>
<p>These are you armchair quarterbacks, your armchair<br />
copywriters, and your armchair marketing experts.  </p>
<p>I honestly think that many of the armchair experts<br />
are most dangerous to themselves. I&#8217;ve encountered<br />
dozens of them over the years who had studied the same<br />
materials that I had, and knew it well enough that they<br />
frequently quoted the same people that I did&#8230; and<br />
often even finished my sentences when I tried explaining<br />
something to them.</p>
<p>I say that they were a danger to themselves, because<br />
they never moved beyond the knowing stage into the<br />
implementation stage, so they could never earn a living<br />
even though they understood how!  I honestly believe that<br />
they were afraid to actually do something, or they were<br />
dabbling in too many different things to take any one<br />
thing through to completion.</p>
<p>Either way, these are the experts who, based upon being<br />
old-timers who have put in the time learning, should be<br />
very successful. Yet, they are STUCK at just knowing and<br />
won&#8217;t acknowledge that they MUST move beyond that.</p>
<p>Then you have the newbie who listens, learns and applies.<br />
Some of them move up the ladder very rapidly, and are at<br />
the top of the &#8220;expert ladder&#8221; in 1/10th of the time that<br />
others take, and they ARE genuine experts.</p>
<p>Two quick examples of these &#8220;doers&#8221; are Russell Brunson<br />
and Ryan Deiss.  </p>
<p>I remember when Russell was a college student, wrestling,<br />
and then starting to raise a family.  He was on the<br />
Warrior Forum, aggressively learning, testing, and DOING.<br />
Not that much later, I could see that Russell had hit<br />
six-figures, and then seven-figures.</p>
<p>I first notice Ryan Deiss in December 2002, when he was<br />
an attendee at the very first seminar that ever attended<br />
(and spoke at).  I don&#8217;t believe that he was even 20 years<br />
old yet, and he sat there taking and organizing copious<br />
notes.  He asked deep, relevant questions.  </p>
<p>Ryan has now probably surpassed most of my fellow<br />
speakers who graced the stage during that era.  Ryan now<br />
has other very successful guru&#8217;s working for his<br />
companies <img src='http://williecrawford.com/blog2/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':-)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>I&#8217;m compelled to warn my readers to be aware of the pretend<br />
experts and dreamers, but I&#8217;m equally as compelled to point<br />
out what sets the doers apart!</p>
<p>The &#8220;snakes in the grass&#8221; will always exist, and part of the<br />
reason that they will even thrive is because of customer<br />
greed.  Greed causes people to make very poor choices.</p>
<p>FEAR also causes people to make poor decisions, and I<br />
believe that is what keeps more people who have the<br />
knowledge from becoming doers!</p>
<p>To become one of the successful doers, you have to actually,<br />
REALLY believe that it is possible. Then you have to<br />
believe that it is possible for you.</p>
<p>For me personally, I grew to believe that it was possible,<br />
after spending a lot of time hanging around with, and even<br />
masterminding with, others who actually walked-the-walk.</p>
<p>I grew to believe that it was possible for me after<br />
observing that many of the ULTRA successful people that I<br />
hung around were really quite ordinary in most respects.<br />
I would  even dare say that some were of below average<br />
intelligence&#8230; and I even know that they would say this<br />
about themselves.</p>
<p>The differences are:</p>
<p>1) You have to give yourself permission to actually become<br />
successful.</p>
<p>2) You need to work on your mindset, because &#8220;going big&#8221; is<br />
largely mental. Once you have the correct mindset, then it<br />
JUST HAPPENS.</p>
<p>I know this to be true because that has been my experience.<br />
I grew up on government subsistence (welfare) surrounded by<br />
poverty and no real mega-successful role models.  I did have<br />
several  teachers who lovingly challenged and inspired me.</p>
<p>I had my big breakthrough after hanging around the ultra<br />
successful, and being bathed in their mindset. </p>
<p>They also taught me that the rich and ultra-successful were<br />
not necessarily “evil” <img src='http://williecrawford.com/blog2/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':-)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>That “flow” started me and many of my friends along a path<br />
that made success destined to happen. It also programmed us<br />
to always be successful even if we occasionally suffer<br />
setbacks&#8230; because we now understand the path and have that<br />
essential mindset.</p>
<p>The final ingredient for me was being actually mentored by<br />
an individual who showed me how I was really the ONLY<br />
person who could hold me back, and then how to get out of my<br />
way and allow unimagined success to flow into my life.  </p>
<p>That mentor&#8217;s name is Brian Ridgway, and he branded his<br />

shows you how most people operate at one of four lesser,<br />
flawed paradigms, and how by simply examining our world,<br />

people is that it causes them to see how harmful the first<br />
two pretend experts are to themselves. Those first two<br />
personality types CONDEMN the individual to failure, the<br />
third  personality type makes success happen relatively<br />
effortlessly.</p>

<p>Notice that that article is fairly emotionally charged. It&#8217;s<br />
very difficult for a person to read the article and not feel<br />
motivated to take some action, even if it&#8217;s to fire off an<br />
email to me telling me that they disagree.</p>
<p>I could sense shortly after publishing the article that it<br />
did indeed &#8220;piss off&#8221; many readers.  It had that effect<br />
because it no longer allowed them to blame others for the<br />
results that they&#8217;ve gotten in life thus far.  Most of the<br />
world tells you that it&#8217;s not your fault because they know<br />
that&#8217;s what you want to hear.  I was deliberately using a<br />
little &#8220;tough love!&#8221;</p>
<p>People respond to this type of article, they comment on it,<br />
and they share it with others, so this is the type of article<br />
that I will be publishing a LOT of over the next 10 days or<br />
so.</p>
<p>That article is engineered to generate an emotional<br />
under-current that people HAVE to respond to!</p>
<p>I published that article to a tiny list of about 7000 general<br />
internet marketers whom I also felt would &#8220;get&#8221; that &#8220;mindset&#8221;<br />
is a major part of the game. It&#8217;s what allows you to actually<br />
follow-through with doing the other things that you need to<br />
do in order to have extra-ordinary success.</p>
<p>Developing that mindset and following through DOES often<br />
mean doing things that you are slightly uncomfortable with.<br />
I shared with you earlier that even I have to do that. I<br />
also shared with you my zip lining experience, where I<br />
actually FORCED myself to REPEATELY step off the edge of cliffs,<br />
attached to tiny cables that I didn&#8217;t really have that<br />
much faith in.  My point was NOT that I was on an exotic<br />
Caribbean cruise, but that I purposely FORCED myself to do<br />
something that I didn&#8217;t really want to do, but knew that it<br />
would force me to grow in the direction that I wanted to<br />
move.</p>
<p>In case you missed it, the tactic that I used to keep me<br />
from backing out was to publicly state on my Facebook profile<br />
(and to my wife) that I was going to do something that I<br />
feared. I turned them all into powerful accountability<br />
partners&#8230; and it worked!</p>
<p>That article is designed to make people really examine their<br />
online marketing (somewhat bridging the gap between internet<br />
marketing and personal development).</p>
<p>I AM at a tremendous disadvantage in the Personal Development<br />
Niche, and since I&#8217;m not known there, needed to create a logical<br />
bridge that people might be willing to step across.</p>
<p>When I&#8217;m reading an article, the first question that I<br />
personally ask myself is &#8220;What makes this person qualified<br />
to write this article?&#8221;  I want to know &#8220;What makes them an<br />
expert!&#8221;  If we fail to answer that question in our own<br />
articles, we lose the reader and your article will be largely<br />
a waste of time.</p>
<p>My over-arching goal is&#8230; hopefully to get lots of people<br />
re-posting the article, and it&#8217;s primary purpose is of course<br />
to get people to check out the Level 5 Mentoring program&#8230; where<br />
I&#8217;ll earn a commission when people actually benefit from the<br />
free webinar, and because they do benefit, they want the paid<br />
product  that goes deeper.</p>
<p>Since the article covers an emotionally charged topic, and I<br />
used the title as my email subject line, I do expect a very<br />
high number of readers.</p>
<p>I will also submit that article to EzineArticles.com and to<br />
IdeaMarketers.com, and will also bookmark it using the tools<br />
that I mentioned to you yesterday.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ll share it in the other places already mentioned.</p>
<p>I can see this ONE article generating thousands of visitors<br />
WHEN it goes viral, or gets a lot of  commentary from the<br />
right people.</p>
<p>I would also like to explain at this point WHY I<br />
chose personal development or self-help as a niche<br />
to focus on.</p>
<p>First of all, I&#8217;m not known AT ALL in the personal<br />
development niche, so I feel that this is a great<br />
test of my methods. I AM starting at the SAME point<br />
that a newbie would be starting at&#8230; one of getting<br />
people who don&#8217;t know me as an expert in that space,<br />
to listen to me.</p>
<p>Given that people buy from people that they know,<br />
like and trust, that means that I have to figure<br />
out how to get potential customers in that niche to<br />
know, like, and trust me.   </p>
<p>Anyone in this situation has two choices&#8230; you<br />
can either develop the know-like-and-trust factor,<br />
or you can borrow it.</p>
<p>I chose to do both!</p>
<p>First, I chose to develop it by pushing out a TON<br />
of content that rapidly proves my actual expertise<br />
in this area. Given that I am a newbie in the niche,<br />
that proof has to show that I not only understand<br />
the theory, but that I actually LIVE the principles.</p>
<p>PROVING that I understand and have actually harnessed<br />
the principles is why my writing focuses so much on<br />
my lifestyle.  That proves that I live what I&#8217;m<br />
teaching day-to-day and as a result, I gain the<br />
benefit&#8230; implying if you copy my application of the<br />
principles exactly, then you&#8217;ll get the same results.</p>
<p>My readers need to see that I get above-average results<br />
from my applying certain principles.  I need to<br />
unequivocally PROVE that.  </p>
<p>Given that most authors, in most niches online, generate<br />
little more than a lot of theory, IF I show practical<br />
examples of the application of what I cover, then I can<br />
quickly go from an unknown in the niche to a<br />
much-respected authority <img src='http://williecrawford.com/blog2/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':-)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>That&#8217;s what you need to do too.</p>
<p>YOU, as a subscriber, even have to see my doing that or<br />
you quickly tune out, and don&#8217;t stick around long enough<br />
to see how massively effective what I&#8217;m doing really<br />
can be.</p>
<p>The second way to get that know-like-and-trust factor,<br />
is to borrow it.  That&#8217;s where solo ads come in. In placing<br />
solo ads, I&#8217;m approaching list owners who already have that<br />
relationship with their list and asking them for a direct or<br />
indirect endorsement.  </p>
<p>I also shared with you in an earlier lesson that I&#8217;m<br />
actually reaching out to a few friends and asking them<br />
to share my content-rich Facebook posts and events with<br />
their followers. </p>
<p>I&#8217;m merely sending them private messages, asking them to<br />
please share a post or Event.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m only asking them to do that with content that I feel<br />
that their &#8220;Friends&#8221; will enjoy or appreciate.</p>
<p>I submit that we ALL have a few close friends that we<br />
can ask a favor of, but also admit that asking favors<br />
of even close friends can feel uncomfortable. </p>
<p>If you want extra-ordinary results you DO have to force<br />
yourself to do things that people willing to live with<br />
ordinary results simply won&#8217;t do.  I can do that because<br />
I honesty feel that my content is changing lives.</p>
<p>So, I am borrowing credibility.  You need to do the<br />
same thing!</p>
<p>You do have friends. They ARE willing to give you a<br />
break especially IF they expect you at some point in<br />
the future to reciprocate.</p>
<p>How well is this working for me?</p>
<p>In the Self-Help Giveaway that I&#8217;m using as a case-study,<br />
I&#8217;ve moved from not even being in the top 20 (based on<br />
over-all referrals), to where I expect to be in the top 5<br />
VERY soon,  and then to fight my way into the top three,<br />
where I WILL  earn a free solo mailing in my new niche&#8230;<br />
with the #1 position offering that solo mailing to 250,000.</p>
<p>You may feel that you DON&#8217;T need a &#8220;pep talk&#8221; but I hope<br />
that you do see that it&#8217;s worth the monumental effort, and<br />
that after you make that initial monumental effort, that<br />
the rest can simply fall in place.</p>
<p>I entered a new niche, made a monumental effort doing<br />
things that I feel slightly uncomfortable with, and after<br />
30 days, I should actually have made over $100k, largely<br />
from soft-selling a product in my new niche, and from<br />
leveraging the credentials of others who are long<br />
established in that space.</p>
<p>I am going up against GIANTS in that space, and because<br />
I am willing to do more, I will prevail, but I will be<br />
doing things that you CAN do too.</p>
<p>My focus the rest of the journey is on buying solo ads<br />
(buying endorsements), but even there, I&#8217;m largely<br />
spending money earned from other efforts that I shared<br />
with you in previous lessons.</p>
<p>I have arranged 32 solo ads that will start running as<br />
early as today. For each of those ads, I am using a<br />
unique tracking url, so that I know where my results<br />
came from, and I will share that with you (unless I<br />
was specifically prohibited by the ad seller for some<br />
strange reason).</p>
<p>In the last lesson, I showed you how to set-up for this<br />
solo ad barrage with as little as $25&#8230; but that&#8230; starting<br />
with that little meant that it would take a few days longer.</p>
<p>Now, thanks to your patience as I laid the framework,<br />
you&#8217;ll get to watch it all unfold, and even be able to<br />
use my EXACT solo ad sources if you choose to, and if you<br />
act fast.  Of course, over 1200 others will be reading<br />
these same notes, so if you are not fast, you may be in<br />
for a bit of a wait.</p>
<p>Moving forward, I&#8217;m going to make the lessons less<br />
verbose, since hopefully by this time, you&#8217;ve gotten<br />
the mindset part.</p>
<p>I will add that this IS all an inexact science. There is<br />
a lot of testing and tracking involved, and even the top<br />
marketing experts have to admit that the outcomes are not<br />
always exact.</p>
<p>In fact, in a recent discussion, a friend shared with me<br />
a conversation that he had with a guy who has often<br />
billed himself as &#8220;the godfather of internet marketing.&#8221;<br />
He shared that this guy taught him that email marketing<br />
is hit and miss. It&#8217;s a matter of market-to-message-to-<br />
medium match.  </p>
<p>Even at &#8220;the very top&#8221; this guy sends out mailing some<br />
days that produce a mere trickle of orders, and other<br />
days he hits on just the right combination, and hundreds<br />
of orders flood in.</p>
<p>He tries to be scientific about it but has discovered that<br />
if he keeps making little tweaks, and keeps mailing, that<br />
in the long run, he has a lot of home-runs but even more<br />
singles <img src='http://williecrawford.com/blog2/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':-)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>In that market-to-message match, I believe that the most<br />
critical ingredient is the words that you use to connect<br />
with your audience one-to-one, and that no one has an<br />
advantage over you in that arena, because it&#8217;s an actual<br />
bond/connection &#8220;felt&#8221; between two individuals.</p>

<p>It&#8217;s fairly common knowledge these days that your<br />
personal income will tend to be the average income<br />
of your five closest friends.  That&#8217;s to an extent<br />
because we tend to think and act like those that we<br />
hang around.</p>
<p>Consequently, my closet friends as all &#8220;filthy rich!&#8221;</p>
<p>You see, I have no problem admitting that I desire<br />
tremendous wealth, because my very wealthy friends<br />
have taught me that that&#8217;s how you do tremendous good<br />
in the world.  They taught me that you go out and<br />
earn wealth first, and then you dedicate a lot of<br />
your time and wealth to things that you consider<br />
worthy causes.</p>
<p>They taught me that good intentions don&#8217;t feed the<br />
hungry, clean the environment, cure major diseases,<br />
or fund any charitable causes.  Developing and<br />
using good business skills to generate tremendous<br />
wealth that you can use to fund work in those areas<br />
does!</p>
<p>They taught me that you don&#8217;t wait to start helping,<br />
but that you can help a lot faster if you focus on<br />
wealthy creation first!</p>
<p>Now that we have that out of the way, how do you<br />
actually become filthy rich.  I&#8217;ve already shared<br />
one way&#8230; you associate with others who are already<br />
doing extremely well, and you learn from them.</p>
<p>Before you make the excuse that there is NO WAY<br />
that they will allow you into their inner circles, let<br />
me point out that they let ME (a farm kid from North<br />
Carolina who spent all of his youth on welfare, before<br />
spending 20 years in the military) into their inner<br />
circles.</p>
<p>They did it for one simple reason&#8230; I showed them<br />
that I had something to offer them, AND I showed them<br />
that I genuinely had their best interests at heart.</p>
<p>As a result, they grabbed me by the hand, taught me,<br />
and made me &#8220;one of them!&#8221;</p>
<p>Now, I share many of the things that my wealth mentors<br />

<p>What are some of the secrets though&#8230; secrets that are<br />
really non-secrets?</p>
<p>1) The wealthy don&#8217;t work for their money, they make<br />
their money work for them.  They make investments in<br />
things that average people ignore for some reason. So,<br />
while most Americans get 1-2% returns on their savings,<br />
my friends get 24% or more, and with NO RISK!</p>
<p>2) The wealthy don&#8217;t trade time for money, they create<br />
assets that generate interest and residual income&#8230;<br />
they create capital assets.  Online marketers who<br />
create products and set up membership sites, are sort<br />
of headed in the right direction&#8230; but they usually<br />
don&#8217;t fully &#8220;get it.&#8221;</p>
<p>3) The wealthy use other people&#8217;s time.  Instead of<br />
doing the work themselves, they hire others who can<br />
often do the work better, for a fraction of what it<br />
would cost them to do it.</p>
<p>Some online marketers outsource, which is headed in the<br />
right direction, but they also need to learn to better<br />
delegate. That also includes delegating the management<br />
of the outsourced workers.</p>
<p>4) The wealthy use leverage offered through tools such<br />
as software.  An example is the piece of software that<br />
I use to save me hundreds of hours while identifying<br />
what keywords I should focus on&#8230;. and what niches<br />
are profitable. That&#8217;s this piece of software:<br />

<p>5) The wealthy leverage other people&#8217;s assets.  As a<br />
JV broker, I and my clients focus less on list-building<br />
than on locating and courting those who have already<br />
built lists.   </p>
<p>We focus on finding centers of influence who already<br />
have the trust and attention of our ideal customers,<br />
and we get them to recommend our quality services and<br />
products to their audiences. </p>
<p>6)  The wealthy  actually make more by practicing<br />
social entrepreneurialism.  Properly embracing worthwhile<br />
causes can actually provide millions of jobs, provide<br />
lots of resources more cost-efficiently to consumers,<br />
and actually serve the less-fortunate&#8230; actually putting<br />
their needs and best-interests first.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s one of the seldom-recognized secrets of the &#8220;filthy<br />
rich.&#8221;  They actually approach business by looking for<br />
major, real problems that they can solve. Many of them do<br />
more &#8220;good&#8221; than many governments.</p>
<p>7) Those achieving lasting real wealth do it by delivering<br />
tremendous value to others.  They strive to improve the<br />
lives of others.  They don&#8217;t sell people garbage because<br />
they GET the saying &#8220;when I harm you, I also harm me!</p>
<p> <img src='http://williecrawford.com/blog2/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_cool.gif' alt='8)' class='wp-smiley' /> The wealthy value time ahead of practically any other<br />
asset. It&#8217;s the one thing that we all have an equal amount<br />
of, yet properly managed, some of us can get ten times<br />
as much done in the same amount of time.</p>
<p>Since the wealthy better manage their time, they often<br />
seem to have more of it for doing the things that they<br />
really want to do.  </p>
<p>That “thing” is very often spending more time with family<br />
in friends.  Contrary to a popular belief that I had before<br />
making lots of wealthy friends, they usually have a LOT<br />
of quality time with their kids.  My friends simply make<br />
it a priority!</p>
<p>YOU simply have to make being in charge of how your </p>
<p>time is spent a priority.  If you don&#8217;t, then you&#8217;ll soon<br />
notice others taking control of your time, and &#8220;spending<br />
your life.&#8221;</p>
<p>Proper time management is actually one of those things<br />
that, once mastered, offers the greatest leverage in<br />
growing your wealth.</p>
<p>An example is that I often set aside time to actually<br />
intensely focus on getting projects done.  I set aside<br />
time to mastermind, in a controlled environment, with<br />
some very high-powered thinkers, and in a matter of<br />
days we often get more DONE, and move more projects<br />
forward, than the average person does in MONTHS.</p>
<p>I do 2-day mastermind meetings several times a year where<br />
we all FOCUS on each others businesses, going as far as<br />
giving others in the group permission to hold us<br />
accountable, and we build massively successful businesses.</p>

which teaches many great marketing lessons.</p>
<p><strong>Let me share the actual email</strong> with you, then I&#8217;ll<br />
share the lessons.</p>

<p><strong>Now the lessons:<br />
</strong><br />
1) I noticed the email first because the &#8220;From&#8221; field<br />
contained a trusted friend&#8217;s name.</p>
<p>2) The &#8220;Subject&#8221; line promising a great photo nudged<br />
me further to open it.   Hint: A promise of new<br />
photos of kids or pets works beautifully.</p>
<p>3) It made me smile, causing me to want to pass<br />
it on.  </p>
<p>You see, Mark is an expert marketer who totally<br />
gets great copywriting, human psychology, and<br />
building great relationships.</p>
<p>That also gave me a segue to share with you how I<br />
expect to sell THOUSANDS of copies of my simple<br />
soul food cookbook in the next 3 weeks, and how<br />
you can do the same with a similarly appropriate<br />
product.</p>
<p>In fact, I have absolutely no doubt that each of<br />
the next three weeks will be six-figure weeks <img src='http://williecrawford.com/blog2/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':-)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>I wrote my cookbook back in 2000, and it has<br />
been a steady seller ever since. That proves that<br />
you don&#8217;t need a breakthrough new product to do<br />
well selling things online.</p>
<p>You DO need a product that lots of people want,<br />
and you need a way to let them know about it, and<br />
you need to be able to communicate with them<br />
effectively.</p>
<p>I probably learned some of the things I understand<br />
on each of those aspect directly from watching<br />
Mark over the years.</p>
<p>At the same time, I do watch what is working best<br />
in my marketing very closely, and I notice changes.</p>
<p>One of the things that has changed the most in<br />
the past year is that far more people are now<br />
accessing the web via mobile devices (iPhones,<br />
iPads, Androids, tablets, etc) than are accessing<br />
the internet via regular computers.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve seen statistics telling me that five times<br />
as many people access the internet via their<br />
mobile devices as do with a computer. </p>
<p>Those same people do BUY right over their mobile<br />
devices&#8230; a lot of them <img src='http://williecrawford.com/blog2/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':-)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>That told me that my customers for my cookbook are<br />
MOSTLY not on computers, and that if I don&#8217;t reach<br />
out to them, then I&#8217;m PREVENTING 85% of my potential<br />
sales.</p>
<p>Since I know that most of my competitors are facing<br />
the same problem, it also showed me an EASY way to<br />
gain a competitive advantage.</p>
<p>I simply had a mobile app developed that let people<br />
access my website (and buy my products) right over<br />
their mobile devices.</p>
<p>I had apps developed for the iPhone, iPad, Android,<br />
and HTML5 compatible devices. That lets people on<br />
practically ANY smart device access and interact<br />
with my website without ever going online.</p>
<p>Now, millions of people can pull up my website while<br />
in the kitchen and look up a recipe, or request one<br />
from others who have my apps installed, or read<br />
my latest blog posts, or watch a cooking video<br />
posted on my YouTube channel, or visit Facebook,<br />
Twitter, and numerous other places right from online.</p>
<p>This all sounds high tech, but it cost me less than<br />
$500 to open the door to hundreds of millions of<br />
potential users.   </p>
<p>Another HUGE benefit of my apps is the ability to<br />
send &#8220;push notifications.&#8221;  I can, at any time, log<br />
into a control panel, compose a short message, and<br />
send it to EVERYONE who has my apps installed.  In<br />
seconds, MILLIONS of people could potentially be<br />
getting a popup message on their phones (one that<br />
almost 100% of people can&#8217;t resist responding to).</p>
<p>Naturally, I don&#8217;t want to abuse that functionality,<br />
or people will just uninstall the app. However, it<br />
does let me send appropriate, very effective<br />
messages to my ideal customers at will.</p>
<p>Those messages get delivered, and then get read!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We online entrepreneurs face one huge stumbling block to<br />
our success. That stumbling block is that we usually know<br />
what to do, but have so many distractions that we simply<br />
can&#8217;t focus long enough to get it done!</p>
<p>Many of us rarely focus on one task long enough to take<br />
it all the way to profitable completion.  It really is<br />
that simple!</p>
<p>Email, phone calls, television, and Facebook&#8230; all throw<br />
so many distractions in our way that it&#8217;s a wonder we ever<br />
get ANYTHING done.</p>
<p>New ideas and opportunities come at some of us so fast that<br />
we are constantly changing direction in mid-stream&#8230;<br />
meaning we never reach any destination.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s no different in the offline world incidentally, where<br />
only a tiny fraction of any business owner&#8217;s days is spent<br />
doing anything that actually grows the business&#8230; or adds<br />
to the bottom line.</p>
<p>What&#8217;s the solution?</p>
<p>Let me share with you how I&#8217;m doing it, and why I can say<br />
with complete confidence that I&#8217;m on my way to an  8-figure<br />
year!</p>
<p>I personally often unplug the phone, close my office door,<br />
and just focus on completing one project for an hour or two.<br />
I don&#8217;t try to focus on one thing for more than an hour or<br />
two at a time because after that productivity often drops off,<br />
and I usually can get more done in an hour of intense focus<br />
than I can in a day of constant distractions and interruptions!</p>
<p>So I often work in 1-hour increments, with short, scheduled<br />
breaks in-between.</p>
<p>I also often grab my laptop and wireless card, and go work<br />
on a fairly isolated beach or in some other place that is<br />
relatively quiet but also inspiring.  That is how I stimulate<br />
my creativity, and kick up my energy level.</p>
<p>I work in environments that a conducive to getting things<br />
DONE. </p>
<p>For example, next month, I&#8217;ll be on a 5-day cruise with my<br />
mastermind group.  We&#8217;ll go from Tampa, Florida to Cozumel,<br />
Mexico and back. I&#8217;m on the cruise because I&#8217;ll be traveling<br />
with a group of 99 other VERY serious entrepreneurs (mostly<br />
multimillionaires, with probably a billionaire or two<br />
sprinkled in there).  We will spend 5-days getting to know<br />
each other and sitting around at tables on the deck of the<br />
ship (eye-to-eye) making joint venture deals.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ll come off that cruise with probably 2 dozen joint<br />
ventures already in motion, and having pushed numerous<br />
previously-stalled, pre-existing projects along massively.   </p>
<p>The cruise IS me working in a very conducive environment,<br />
where I will be able to get a LOT done.  I dare say I&#8217;ll<br />
get more done in that five days than the average person will<br />
get done in a month in their &#8220;normal&#8221; working environment.</p>
<p>On top of that, since I will be working, the cruise will<br />
be tax-deductible <img src='http://williecrawford.com/blog2/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':-)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>I know&#8230; you read the above and you think, &#8220;Not everyone<br />
can work from the deck of a luxurious cruise ship Willie!&#8221;  </p>
<p>I would ask, &#8220;Why not?&#8221;</p>
<p>In fact, while my mastermind trip is for group members only,<br />
I DO have permission to invite a few prospective members&#8230;<br />
provided all of the cabins are not filled.</p>
<p>Simply hit reply, and ask me for details if you are<br />

<p>Another way that practically every business owner that I<br />
know needs to focus is by asking themselves, &#8220;Where are<br />
my buying customers really at, and how can I best reach<br />
them?&#8221;</p>
<p>Since we are talking about focus and getting the highest<br />
return-on-investment on your time and efforts, you really<br />
need to identify the very best way to actually make more<br />
sales.</p>
<p>Once you&#8217;ve identified that method, then you need to<br />
FOCUS EXCLUSIVELY ON THAT for at least a short while.</p>

<p>This is how I&#8217;m actually getting through to my most-targeted,<br />
highly-responsive customers.  This is also how I&#8217;m growing<br />

<p>Anyone who has been marketing online for more than a week<br />
has probably heard that they should build a list and then<br />
follow-up with them building a trusting relationship and<br />
offering them products and services that they need.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve been doing that for the past 15 years, and have actually<br />
built a database of over 1.4 MILLION subscribers, scattered<br />
across numerous niches.</p>
<p>We&#8217;ve also read somewhere that when you DO manage to build<br />
that list, that it&#8217;s worth about $1 per subscriber per month.</p>
<p>First of all, I&#8217;m here to tell you that that is definitely<br />
NOT the case for most of the niches that I&#8217;m in.</p>
<p>The problem is that my subscribers are on so many different<br />
lists, and have so many different things vying for their<br />
attention, that most NEVER see my emails. They are often<br />
buried in their in-boxes, in a sea of other noise.</p>
<p>In comparing notes with many leading online marketers, I<br />
can tell you that some of them are experiencing email OPEN<br />
rates of less than 5%. Of that 5%, only a fraction click<br />
through to check out their offers, and of course only a small<br />
percentage of those will typically buy. </p>
<p>So, having a mailing list of 100,000 CAN translate to<br />
getting fewer than 1000 clicks from many emails. </p>
<p>To me, that is a SERIOUS problem, and one that explains<br />
why many internet marketers are on the verge of<br />
bankruptcy.</p>
<p>Yes, I have figured out a way around that problem.  That&#8217;s<br />

<p>Plain and simple, your biggest challenge in making more sales<br />
is one of capturing your ideal customers&#8217; attention.</p>
<p>I do that masterfully, which is why I confidently stated that<br />
I&#8217;m headed for an 8-figure year. It&#8217;s also why as I cruise<br />
from Tampa to Cozumel next month&#8230; numerous<br />
multimillionaires will stand up and invite me to sit down at<br />
their table as I walk by.</p>
<p>They&#8217;ve heard that when it comes to getting more customers via<br />
the internet, that I&#8217;m THE EXPERT!  They mostly come from the<br />
offline world (direct mail, infomercials, etc.).  They value<br />
expertise.</p>
<p>The truth be told, my expertise is nothing more than the sum<br />
total of all that other online and offline marketers have<br />
shared with me over the past 15 years.  It&#8217;s not unique<br />
knowledge, but I DO know how to distil it down, and how to<br />
put it into action.   </p>
<p>That know-how seems to be fairly rare, and is therefore<br />
valued.</p>
