Independence Day And Being A Soldier

Back in 2003, I retired from the U.S. Air Force after
a 20-year/10-month career. I chose to retire in June
so that I WOULD be independent on July 4th. By that
time, I’d also been running an Internet business in
my spare time for 7 years… longer than many of today’s
guru’s have been online.

I’d also had enough fun… having survived SEVEN wars.
Not all were major wars… my first was Grenada in
October, 1983. We were getting ready to go BACK
into Iraq, and they were looking for people in my
unit who understood logistics. I said “no thanks”
and believe that was good decision since we are still
there.

So for me, July 4th has an added special significance.

My father and all of my four brothers spent time in the
military… so we’ve spent our lives defending our
country. My baby brother spent 26 years in the U.S. Navy.

I have lately shifted my focus from Internet marketing
to consulting with offline business. The reason is
because it’s more satisfying. Internet marketing has
changed so much in the past 2 years.

Here’s where I learned MUCH of what I now use in my
consulting business… my mentor:

Enjoy the rest of your day, and if you’re in the U.S.,
Happy Independence Day.
