Projects With A Purpose

One of the ways that I motivate myself to stay focused
and to get things done is to dedicate the money from
a given product to a purpose.

This is an idea that I first heard my friend Paul Myers
share, but I’m not sure if he credited it to someone
else or not.

Anyway, the idea is to specify what the money will be
used for even before you start the project. As an example,
I do have projects that I’m currently working on where
the earnings are “earmarked” for:

A new beachfront house

A new boat

Foreign travel

My grandkids education

My next car

Real estate investments

Charity

To make this system work better for me, I also often WON’T
allow myself to spend money from any other sources on a given
project/purpose. That means that if that project is not a
success, then I don’t accomplish the other purpose. Even
though, since I made the rule, I can change it, this does keep
me focused and motivate.

Give it a try!

Willie
