The Key Is To Be WHEREVER Your Customers Are

Yesterday, I spent about 6 hours at a military transition job
fair. This was a place where about 15 employers had display
tables set up, and they got to interview 460 military personnel
on the verge of retiring or separating from the military.

I was there because the host of the job fair was a friend, and
he wanted me to tell my brother (and sister) soldier’s about
what I was doing. He wanted me to point out to them that they
don’t have to take JUST another job. They can finally declare
their independence… assuming they had the personalities
required to be an entrepreneur.

I was surprised by the number who already had small home-based,
and Internet-based businesses.

I spent a lot of time teaching many of them how to get more
traffic to their websites, and how to get from page 20 in the
search engines to the first page.

One of the things that I emphasized was that you DO need a lot
of relevant content. You need to be where your customers are
and you need to be there with useful information.

Your customers go online looking for solutions to their
problems, and for information to use in making decisions. When
you provide them with what they need, naturally they are
thankful, and they will gravitate to you.

I emphasized writing a lot of useful articles, turning many
of those articles into audios, and even turning some of those
articles into videos.

If you can write an article, turning it into an audio can be as
simple as reading it into a microphone.

If you can write an article, you can also save it to a webpage
or as a PDF, and then record yourself scrolling down the page
as you read it… and you have a video.

I actually think that it’s better to maybe create some
PowerPoint slides with your main points and then scroll
through them as you read the article, but my point it that once
you have the information for your article, you have the
information needed to create the other formats.

Even if you can’t write, you can take private label rights
articles, edit them a little, and then use those in the same
way… to publish articles, audios, and videos.

I also emphasized using press releases. The reason is that the
search engines often rank press releases on the news sites
higher than the same information in other places. They see
things on news sites as more relevant, and current. So, you
do want to be rolling out press releases regularly.

I shared with many of these soldiers, as well as about a
dozen realtors who were in a gathering next door to the
job fair… and overheard me talking, that I generate and
distribute a LOT of content, and that this is one of the keys
to why I no-longer need a job.

It sounded like a lot of work to them, and a few even wanted to
know if they could hire me to do it for them. When I showed them
my consulting fees, they reconsidered :-)

Then I showed them how I now, automatically submit my videos,
articles, press releases, and audios to countless places. I
showed them how I can automatically submit an article in under
5 minutes that will eventually end up in potentially THOUSANDS
of places.

Twelve years on online marketing has taught me that the real
key is to have as many “signposts” pointing back to you as
practical. You want your information-packed articles, videos,
audios, and press releases in as many places as possible, all
setting up links (signposts) pointing back to you.

I recommended to my brother/sister soldiers that they use
http://EasyPushButtonTraffic.info because it is what I use and
it saves me a ton of time. It take me about 10 minutes to
submit a video to ALL of the top video sharing sites.

It take me about 10 minutes to submit an article to the most
important article directories… and many of the article sites
that I submit to then broadcast my articles to hundreds of
additional places. So, I spend 10 minutes submitting an article,
and go off to do my next chore (or go fishing) knowing that
I’ve set in motion a process that WILL eventually put my
article in thousands of places.

For soldiers, running a business in a few hours carved out of
each week, in-between endless hours on their regular jobs, and
spending quality time with their families, it’s extremely
critical that they do things as efficiently as possible. I
haven’t found a more efficient traffic generation system than
using Easy Push Button Traffic for distributing your content.

I had a blast yesterday sharing my “Internet marketing world”
with those solders… especially the ones that had already
started home-based businesses.

I could sooo relate to them. When I first started my online
business, I would be so tired that I’d often fall asleep in
front of my computer. I’d wake up to a screen-full of whatever
letter my finger happened to be resting on :-)

It was a nice feeling to be able to share tools and techniques
with the soldiers… and realtors, knowing that I had, in a
small way, actually helped many of them. To me that’s what
it’s all about.
