Why You Must Bookmark Every Webpage

Why You Must Bookmark Every Webpage

I now bookmark every new webpage that I upload
and every new blog post that I make. Why?
Because they all contain long-tail keywords that
can bring in more VERY targeted traffic, and more
buying customers, than my keywords getting a lot
more traffic.

A long-tail keyword, getting only a few hundred
hits per day, can be more valuable than a popular
keyword getting thousands of hits per day. Those
searching on the long-tail keyword are more focused.

A webpage getting just 200 searches a day, and
making one $30 sale per day, can earn you $900 per
month. Have 10 of these pages, and you’re at $9000
per month :-)

So, to get the search engines to notice your pages
you need to bookmark them and you need to link to
them from other pages.

Since 1996 I’ve gotten literally millions of webpages
spidered and indexed. As I look through my web logs
I see that much of this traffic came from long-tail
keywords… keywords that don’t get a lot of searches.

Bookmarking your webpages with popular bookmarking
sites will get more search engines looking at your pages,
and the more often they look at your pages (and see that
they’ve been recently updated) the more often they will
visit.

So… every time that you update you site with a new page
or a new blog post, you MUST notify the search engines
and bookmarking sites that you’ve updated something. They
will catalog the changes, and get your site spidered again!
