Editorial:
No article this week, so we'll keep it short. Just a few things
to share with you....
I spent last Friday, October 8th - Monday, October 11th in
Atlanta, Georgia at Shawn Casey's Customer Appreciation
Seminar. One of the attendees in the audience noticed that
several of the speakers used me as an example, and came up
to me later to ask why I was there. It was obvious to him that
I already understood Internet marketing, and did well at it. He
didn't understand why I would sit throught several days of
presentations. My answer was simple, I was there to learn from
the speakers and to do a lot of networking.
Others big names in the audience who were there for the same
reason... people that I got to do a little networking with
included: Gary and Jennifer Ambrose, Elsom Eldridge Jr., Mark
Hendricks, Kevin Wilke, Matt Gill, Alex Nghiem, and dozens of
others. I also got to chat with Shawn Casey, Joel Christopher,
and most of the speakers. A number of deals were actually made
over dinner or right in the hotel lobby.
What's my point in all this? We are in the middle of what I
would term the "Internet Marketing Seminar Season." There is
some type of seminar going on practically every weekend
between now and July (then things slow down for Summer
vacations). There's probably one near you. To get a good feel for

There are events on both coasts of the U.S., on cruise ships,
and in many countries. There are events focusing exclusively
on joint ventures, events just for work at home moms, and many
other niche events. There are probably many events near where
you live.
These seminars are how you meet, networks with, and get to know
people who will go on to do large joint ventures or projects with
you. One of the projects I agreed to help with has as a goal to
raise $50 million in a single day for example. You can imagine
the caliber of people we're talking about here. This project will
probably have the participation of three former presidents.
It's very hard to break into the big time in this Internet
business until you actually meet some of the "players" face to
face. Plan on attending at least one seminar this season.
