Editorial:

This issue is coming out later than normal because we migrated
our entire database over to a new system as explained below.
We spent several days testing before sending out a newsletter.
Thanks for your patience :-)

I thought I would just "chat" with you this last issue
of 2002. Actually, my chatting will be mostly explaining
my business set-up, but I think you'll feel that's ok.
Explaining my personal business set-up will answer a lot
of questions that are on your mind too... especially
questions about automation.

Having been on-line since 1997 I have gone through the same
learning process that most on-line "internet marketers" go
through. After 5 years I find myself:

- Publishing 3 different mailing lists with 70,000 combined
subscribers (1 listed going out sometimes twice daily)
- Marketing several of my own affiliate products
- Marketing several products through my affiliate program
that others created and entrusted to me
- Offering a free course to teach beginners the truth
- Selling about 10 different affiliate products for
others
- Promoting through ezine ads, search engines, viral tools,
and seminars and conferences
- Managing over 40 different websites
- Doing one-on-one consultations
- Moderating several different discussion groups

The tools I use or have used include:
- Over 150 autoresponders
- Mailing list management programs
- Several merchant accounts as well as PayPal and ClickBank
- Ad tracking programs
- Snail mail processing programs
- Software for tracking my pay-per-click campaigns
- Software for tracking my website ranking
- An internet information and contact manager
- Several phones, a fax, 4 computers, 3 printers, and tons
of other trinkets.
- A small staff that included my daughter and my wife

A question we all ask is how much can we automate our businesses
and how much should we automate our businesses? My answer to
the second part of the question is - as much as possible to the
extent that it doesn't alienate your customers and site visitors.
You can avoid alienating them to a very large extent by
responding to email as quickly as possible, and making sure your automated
messages are personalized.

Prior to December 2002, many parts of my system were not
integrated. That is, I used a different script to manage my autoresponders,
than I did to manage my ezines, than I did to manage my affiliate
program, than I did to manage other items I sold (through my own
merchant accounts). Now I have integrated 95% of these all under
ONE umbrella program, and it is WONDERFUL! By the middle of end
the week, practically all of my business will be run through one
program or system.

What that means is that a customer will come into contact with
me through any number of means and then I will be able to
effortlessly follow up with them as appropriate. Here's what
this system will do:

1) Allow a customer to subscribe to any of my lists or
autoresponders and then send out pre-composed messages as well as ezines. Forms
on my websites allow them to enter into one, or several, follow-up
sequences. The subscribers are automatically unsubscribed after 2
bounces - getting rid of a major headache with many scripts.

2) Sign up an individual for my affiliate program and then send
out a series of training autoresponder messages based upon what
product he signed up to sell. They can be assigned unique urls
for each product but can also just be brought into a central
area of your site. Each affiliate can be paid a standard commission
or a custom commission. Each affiliate can be offered permission
to sell all or just a select few of my products.

3) Use an integrated shopping cart that can process orders from
all of my websites and for any and all products that I have resale
rights to. This shopping cart allows you to upsell at the point
of purchase. It also allows a customer to continue shopping and
then checkout whenever they are ready. It can calculate shipping
and postage rates in real-time if desired.

4) Use regular order links that just take the customer to a
simple order form when they click on the "buy" link from any of a number
of different websites.

5) Give me and affiliates ready access to all kinds of statistics.

6) Notify me and/or anyone I specify of each order. This is great
for when a third party drop-ships or fills the orders.

7) Process orders through a regular merchant account or several
third party processors such as PayPal. The order taking,
processing, and verification is completely seamless.

8) Automatically fill orders for digital products. The customer
is redirected to, or given a uniquely generated url to download
their purchase of digital products (pdf or zip files, MP3 files, etc.)
instantly. This unique url automatically expires...
ending the problems of people passing around download urls.

9) Maintain an integrated client database of up to 1,000,000
customers with provisions to increase this number.

10) Use integrated pop-ups, surveys, and tell-a-friend scripts all
designed to make sales and get more contacts into the system.

I know... you're probably wondering what does all of this cost me.
Well I have to have my own merchant account and gateway or third
party credit card processor to interface with. The rest of the
system costs from $19 to $69 per month depending upon the
features that you need. To me that's a steal. They offer a free trial and
that's what convinced me that this system would really uncomplicate
my life. This really is "The Most Advanced Internet Marketing
System On The Planet."

I will suggest that you check out the system if you are
interested. They offer a 20% commission on referrals. You can't sign-up
through your own affiliate links. I like programs like that because they
keep others from stealing your commissions. My affiliate url is:

I think you will see why I love this system so after you take a
look. It basically allows me to store all of my customer, affiliate,
and prospect data in one integrated database. Then I can allow
different parts of the database to interact. Let me give you a
quick example:

I sell a digital version of my cookbook for $10. When a person
orders this cookbook, they get instant delivery, affiliates are
credited any commission due, me and affiliates are notified of
the sale, and the customer is entered into any follow-up autoresponder

sequence I have designated. I could have offered the customer
quantity discounts or product bundles at the point of purchase
too if I had wanted to.

After the sale, my customer will get an email a few days or weeks
later suggesting he might want the print version of the
cookbook since digital cookbooks are difficult to use in the
kitchen :-) Other messages that can go out up to 3 years later
will suggest that the prospect might want to buy my book on
writing his own cookbook, join my affiliate program, or buy more
copies of my book as a gift. If the prospect takes any of these
actions along the way, the customer is automatically shifted to
a different (appropriate) follow-up sequence or removed from the
autoresponder sequence all together.

I'm sure you can see why I switched over to this system. I no
longer have to log into 10 different control panels or websites
to run 95% of my business. Now I really can get up, check my
email and go fishing, knowing that everything from managing
subscribes and unsubscribes to automatic product delivery is
clicking right along - effortlessly. Now I just need to add
thousands of new affiliates to the system to super-charge things.

I'd love to have you join my affiliate program. I offer a number
of unique products that you won't find any where else - yet.
Also, if you drop me an email and tell me that you are a subscriber I
will increase your commission level for the products you sign up
to sell unless I'm already paying as much as I can afford to
without losing money. That's a gift for being a loyal subscriber
and actually reading each issue. For that I also wanted to thank
you. Email me at: willie@therealsecrets.com and make the subject
of your email "Increase Commission"

Sign up for my affiliate program at:
http://www.autopilotriches.com/app/contact.asp?ID=36151

That's all I had for this issue. I wanted to show you how I plan
on making life a lot easier in 2003 and how you can too. Be sure
to check this incredible system out. Enjoy the rest of the
holiday season and get prepared to make 2003 a big success.
