Making It Big In 2002

Looking back over my past 5 years online, one truth
becomes
increasingly obvious. That's the one truth that I want to
challenge you to embrace and take advantage of today.
This is
a truth which I have shared with you before, and so have
hundreds
of others. That doesn't make it any less true today. What
is
this great truth that will allow you to make it big in
2002?
It's that to achieve the most success in an online
business you
MUST develop your own product or service.
Marketing others products and services from your own site
can
allow you to earn a fairly comfortable income... BUT...
to achieve
true success you need your own product or service. Having
your
own product or service allows you to keep the lion's
share of
income produced from your efforts. It also allows you to
have
thousands of others marketing your product or service to
produce YOU income. This of course is accomplished
through
having your own affiliate program.
Your biggest challenge... generally... is coming up with
a
product or service that is in demand. This product also
must
be easy to distribute and offer a large profit margin.
The
most obvious examples of this type of product I see are
software
and books.
You can't help but notice the ebook craze. That's because
ebooks have virtually NO distribution cost and therefore
are
the ideal product. The challenge is to come up with an
ebook
and/or paper book on a topic popular enough to be a best
seller. For this you need to do a lot of research and
brainstorming. Produce a book in an over-worked field and
you may be in for a little disappointment. However, you
may
be suprised at what books will sell. For example, I
produced
a cookbook last year that is selling briskly. The
cookbook was
a niche cookbook and on a type of cuisine I knew a lot
about.
It is marketed from a website that frequently gets over
10,000
visitors per day... all looking for recipes. Your
challenge
is to find that unfilled need and fill it with your own
book!
The other area I am keen on, because of ease of
distribution and
relatively generous profit margins, is software. If you
can see
a need for a software program and produce it, you may be
SHOCKED by the profit potential. There is the potential
for a
steady stream of profits year-after-year. This is the
type
of product I recommend because you can do the work once
and
the profit stream continues automatically for a very long
time.
To produce software you have two basic options... produce
it
yourself or hire someone else to do it for you. Either
options
is really suprisingly easy. Without "letting too
much of the
cat out of the bag," that's my big project for this
year. I
won't give away all of my plans but I will tell you that
I got
started using a product called "Software Secrets

you
and you begin to realize that if so many others are doing
